We love this place! Found it one night when our power was out and needed dinner. It is a hole in the wall type, but the chorizo dip, birria tacos (it was just a special that day...I don't think it's permanent), and the margarita with the Mexican candy rim are what keep bringing my husband and I back! Nice people too :)

Seat cushions were ripped and torn, the place was very crowded, we were seated almost within elbow touching room of another couple.The food flavor was average. This was my first visit to Los Zacatecanoes and, as a rule, I always order a fajita meal on my first visit to a Mexican restaurant. I want a fajita meal (the meat &.veggies) to be served on a hot cast iron griddle/pan with juices & a bit of grease in the pan. Ours (my date also got a fajita) came out on luke-warm pans (I could touch the pans and not get burnt) and the food was dry. It had a decent flavor.The service was outstanding, although we had to ask for silverware at the beginning and my date had to find her own pen so I could sign the receipt at the end of the meal.Overall, I would not visit this establishment again on my own but if friends were going, I would go.

The food is in my opinion the better than most places around locally. The self-service salsa bar had a lot of choices. The waitress was very attentive so all in all I had a good experience. For two people I spent $50 and that included margaritas and food.

Best Mexican restaurant in town! Food and service A+! Fast and super courteous! They always make sure to put in extra care and effort!
They only had one person waiting tables. it took a little while to get food ordered, then about 20 minutes to get food to the table. my daughter found a hair in her food and my quesadilla was mushy. we had eaten there before and food was good and cooked right, but this time was a bummer.

This is not a hidden gem as some people describe. Haha. Wow. It’s just another very mediocre and bland Mexican restaurant. There is 2-3 in every town these days. This establishment was run down with torn and worn seats, old and kinda dirty painted walls, insects crawling around, and to be honest even lower quality than mediocre food. Definitely not a place I would visit again. Only compliments I have was the waitress was nice and quick and the margarita was pretty good I have to admit.
