First time here, the waitress brings our food and returned to our table and said I need to borrow your plate a minute. She took my plate and when she returned I was short 4 fried green tomatoes! She said they accidentally gave me two orders of tomatoes and had to have them back. So I guess somebody else got used FGT’s!! My husband asked for butter for his baked potato and was told it was on the table in the yellow container ( which can be confused with a mustard bottle). It is melted margarine, she explained. When I tried to express my concerns to the gentleman at the cash register, he shut me down with I will take care of it. Enough said.

The food was delicious and our waitress was fast and efficient but the whole place just had a dirty look about it, between the cloudy fish tanks and the grimy look of the place to the floor being slick (they did warn us by hollering as we were slipping).I am surprised no one has been hurt from a fall.It is not a place I would visit again.

Went to mountainview to give it a second try on Friday night feb 23, we had gone right before Christmas and had a bad experience. It was pretty busy when we got there and had to wait for a table, cause there was 6 of us got seated after about 15 minutes and it was the same table we ha d last time and I was afraid we'd get the same waitress we had first time after I saw her walking thru.. First visit was pretty bad, no refills on our drinks no one checked on us and 2 forgotten salads, the food was good but when no one takes care of the people at the table that makes a good meal not to good. Friday night the food was great, catfish was problybest I ever had, the sweet tea was the greatest green tomatoes mushrooms and catfish was my favorite, my mom and dad and brother said their food was really good to, but what gives this place a 5 star was the waitress we had Judy kept our drinks full, checked on us often made sure we had everything we needed she talked to us like we were old friends and that means a lot not to mention she was very sweet and too pretty to be a waitress. We all agreed that she was THE BEST. We will be coming back more often so have plenty of catfish and mushrooms and I hope we get her for our waitress next time toParking: Been twice on Friday nights parking lot full both times but go around back you can find spots there

This is the first time going here since moving here 5 years ago. Don't let the exterior fool you! Inside is nothing like the exterior. The food was fantastic. My wife had the meatloaf, I had the Captains Combo and my mother-in-law had fried chicken livers. My Captains Combo came with so much food that I had to get a to go box! I haven't had to do this in the last 10 years. Thank you for comping my tea for being a veteran! My waitress saw my hat and asked if I was a veteran and when I acknowledged I was she thanked me for my service. When the bill came the tea was comped!

Reasonably priced, but burger was overcooked and kitchen needed cleaned - could taste the grill on it and the fryer on the onion rings. Building was run down and gave the impression of poor care - has likely been 25+ years since last update. Server was friendly and cordial, other staff were impersonal and unfriendly. Feeling vaguely ill after meal, but expect it will pass.Of all the one hamburgers I ate today, this was the second best.
