Amazing. Highly recommend.
We got the mushroom pasta since it's the only vegan dish on the menu. Sure it was good, but my partner and I thought it could have had more mushrooms. It's fine dining compared to everything else in the area, but that's not saying much. The price just isn't justified
my wife and I had dinner there tonight and I can say I would give them every star avaliable our waitress Aileen was wonderful and the food was absolutely perfect my wifes steak was spot on and perfectly cooked and flavored. I had the pork chop and it was by far the best I've ever had. The atmosphere was intimate and the experience from the time we walked in was fabulous. I definitely recommend this place .
This was my family's second time visiting the dancing bear. I was a nervous mama as we had our 3 year old during our trip and I was not sure how they would feel about such a young child during dinner service. By my surprise, they were exceptional at greeting us with open arms and smiles. The female hostess and our waitress, Elys were amazing and interacted with our son showing it wasn't a problem him being there. They both put my nerves at ease and the hostess was thanked by him hugging her. I knew we made the right decision. Hats off to the chef- everything was delicious like last time and I've expanded my pallet by enjoying the different creations the chef puts together. We can't wait to visit again and reccomend to anyone any everyone
We had a beautiful evening at Dancing Bear last night. Food was great. Service was top tier. Ambiance was perfect. The staff was warm and inviting. We loved it. 10/10
We visited for the first time last weekend to celebrate our 5-year wedding anniversary and it was such a treat. This place has hospitality down to a science - the warm, welcoming fireplace, the impeccable service (thank you, Aileen!), and the thoughtful, delicious food. The pork chop was the best I've ever had. Scallops were perfectly cooked. The seasonal cobbler and butterscotch brulee were delicious. We can't wait to visit again.

We had an anniversary dinner here. Excellent salads and vegetables. Creme Brule for dessert was outstanding. Our waiter was very attentive and we were staying in a cabin just a short walk away.

My husband and I went tonight after eloping in the Smokey’s this morning. Our photographer recommend this restaurant and we are beyond glad we took her recommendation. Both of us were in awe over the meal we shared. Hands down, the best meal we have ever had. From the beef tips appetizer, to the filet and pork we were blown away. Our waiter was also beyond kind and did an amazing job making recommendations! We have already decided to make this a staple on our anniversary’s. Unfortunately, I do have to say the bar staff was a 1 out of 5 stars as far as service. We sat at the bar for a drink before being seated and waited at least 7 minutes with multiple bar staff noticing us before being greeted. Aside from the poor bar service, the rest of the evening and our server were amazing! Do yourself a favor and try this restaurant out!

We were traveling from Ohio to do a Ford Bronco experience for my birthday. This place had amazing reviews and was close by so my boyfriend took me here for a nice dinner. The food was great, but our server Angela was nowhere in sight most of the time, and it seemed like a lot just to ask for something. For the price we paid, we did not get the experience/ service desvered, and I do wish we got the experience all the other reviews received.

Dancing Bear is one of the treasures in Townsend Tennessee. It's one of our favorite restaurants anywhere. The people are down home friendly. The atmosphere is Smoky mountain comfortable, The food is cooked to perfection . I almost regret posting this great review because it's already hard enough to get reservations.

Everything about this place is amazing! My husband and I both got the filet and it was one of the top 3 best steaks we have ever had and we eat steaks all the time. Jack was our waiter and he was amazing as well, we never had to ask for anything. He was so enthusiastic and made our time that much more enjoyable. We will definitely be back and I would recommend this restaurant to anyone!! 10/10 great job!!!

We went to the Dancing Bear Bistro today - Sunday. We didn’t realize that on Sunday for lunch they only have the buffet, so we were a little disappointed…until we tasted the food on the buffet. Everything we had was delicious (and we sampled almost everything) - omelette and scrambled eggs, bacon, biscuits and gravy, sausage, shrimp and grits, potatoes, fresh fruit, vegetables, salad, yogurt with fruit and granola. There were also mini muffins for the table. It was all delicious. The only real disappointment was that we missed out on the bread pudding. We went to get some before we left but it was all gone. Next time, we’ll get it when we first get there. We will definitely be back!

My husband and I absolutely love the Dancing Bear! It’s a romantic spot tucked into the woods. The fantastic menus are never disappointing. On cold nights the fire outside keeps you warm while you await a table or to just gather with your loved ones. If you’re lucky a bear will appear along the wood lines. The patio when open is beautiful with scenery.
The only complaint we have had the last 2 visits is the waitress wasn’t attentive. We were last visiting for a birthday celebration and keeping the water topped was unpleasant as well as when we asked for items it was forever wait for arrival of needs.
Also, for special occasions keep children away from private sitting couples. It kinda ruins the atmosphere when children are screaming in a small hallow space.
Otherwise beautiful place to dine!
