This cute local country cooking had an amazing breakfast. There were 10 of us & we were waited on & serviced quickly on a Labor Day- holiday.
The place was cleaning & homey. Even had front porch tables. I will go back when in the area.

First time. A small town diner. Not the pancake house you'd expect like others in the area. Menu shows both cash and credit prices.

The service at this restaurant was outstanding. Kay's natural talent for hospitality made our meal even more enjoyable, proving that serving is truly her calling. The food was delicious and arrived quickly.
If I lived in the area, this would definitely be a regular spot for me.

I'm surprised by the low reviews. This was one of the only places in this town that didn't feel like an overpriced tourist trap with bad food. Stopped in for breakfast with a large group and the staff were very accommodating. We had biscuits and gravy, several hearty omelets, oatmeal, etc, plate lunches with okra and grilled chicken; everyone enjoyed their meal. I haven't found REAL biscuits and gravy at a restaurant in years and Townsend pancake house delivered. If I'm ever in Townsend again this will be my first stop.

Excellent food and the service was really good too, we ate breakfast there after riding our bikes at Cades Cove. I was surprised at all the one star reviews saying it was too expensive. Considering it's a big tourist area I thought the prices were very reasonable, definitely cheaper and better food than Five Guys for example. Maybe some folks would be better off eating at Krystal.

Food was fresh, hot, and delicious!!! Prices were reasonable, especially for a place that’s just outside a national park, so ignore all the comments that it’s too expensive.

Townsend Pancake House is a great little spot if you’re looking for a no-frills, classic Southern breakfast. The pancakes were fluffy and delicious, and the portions were generous for the price. Their biscuits and gravy were also a standout—definitely worth trying if you’re a fan of hearty comfort food.
The service was friendly, though things moved a bit slow during our visit, likely because it was a busy morning. The atmosphere is simple and cozy, very much what you’d expect from a small-town breakfast place.
If you’re in the area and craving a traditional country breakfast, this spot hits the mark. It’s not fancy, but it’s warm, filling, and a local favorite for a reason.

Our waitress wasn't the friendliest, the food was terrible and our table was not clean. The end of it was sticky. My toast wasn't toasted and when I asked for it to be toasted, it was taken from my hand with hers and then returned to me on a plate burnt on the end of one side. She did offer a biscuit as replacement but I didn't want a biscuit. The hash browns tasted like grease and the bacon was not hot (it seemed to be precooked). We paid thirty dollars for this meal and it would have been more if we had used our credit card. I just don't have anything good to say.
