This restaurant has great food, amazing pizza for sure. What's endearing about DJ's that it has that southern, small town charm. There's a lot of camaraderie between the workers and customers and the waitresses and staff are very courteous and polite. It's definitely worth the hour and change drive from Baxter, every couple of weeks.

First, this restaurant has been a staple in our town for a lot of years for a reason. Their menu is fairly diverse and rarely do we have any issues with the food. That being said, my family usually enjoys fried mushrooms and they're not offered at as many places as in the past. BUT they need to be cooked correctly. Cooking them at too hot of a temperature and too fast only results in a crunchy coating (a good thing!) and unfortunately barely warm mushrooms on the inside. A lower temperature and a slightly longer time in the fryer will insure thoroughly cooked mushrooms AND that crunchy outer coating. (Suggesting such a thing in person shouldn't goad the cook into mocking a customer and referring to them as a "Karen".) Working in food service longer than the cook has been alive might just give that customer a bit of earned knowledge.

Do not recommend the bread sticks. They were super flat, hard, and zero flavor. Wasn't even what I ordered actually. I ask for garlic bread. There's no garlic on them. $10 for something I can't even chew.

My elderly grandparents and family came here for a meal, and my grandparents left a cash tip, while my parents left another tip on card. While checking out after my grandmother walked away, the worker turned around and yelled to the other staff “are you serious they just left $10 tip on $90 bill. Not knowing my mother was in line to pay. The fact that she did that was unbelievable but nonetheless while customers were present. My grandparents did the best they could, and we were prepared to pay the rest, but after seeing the way my family was disrespected today, we will never be back. And I will never recommend this place to anyone, do better.

Best pizza in America in my opinion. We stumbled on this little restaurant while traveling and WOW. We were not expecting that but it is seriously the best pizza I ever had since moving to America. We make a detour every time we drive within a 100 miles to go eat there.
Food is good. 3 times now tho we didn't get waht we paid for on a take out order. The answer I got was " all we can do is try" smh.

I ordered a Joe's Salad today, for the first time since Joe himself made them, and to say that I was disappointed would be a huge understatement. I know a lot of people in this town remember those salads pretty well and know what toppings are supposed to be on them. And I'm 100% certain that those toppings did not include a hard piece of white plastic, like I found in mine today. I guess I'll have to be content with memories of Joe's original concoction, because I know it'll never be replicated Today was a harsh reminder of why I stopped dining at this establishment.
