Short Mountain Distillery

Definitely one of the best experiences for a distillery tour, excellent and funny tour and background of the distillery. Followed by an awesome experience of the mixology class provided by Kara who made incredible drinks from our personal selections.

Such a quick and informative distillery tour with several products to sample! And though we didn't get to try, there was a restaurant on the property to enjoy. Excited to add Short Mountain Whiskey to my collection!

Very small tasting room, great for couples. $10 to sample all their spirits, they were all good. Friendly employees, beautiful location. Really wanted to go on the walking trail, but it was raining.

We took the tour, tasting, and mixology class last week on a whiskey road trip. The tour was low key, informative and fun. The history of the distillery is pretty cool. Afterwards we headed to the bar/restaurant for the mixology class. Our bartender Jace was absolutely amazing. He mixed us 4 different cocktails to sample and was very informative as to what made them taste the way they did and how the ingredients worked together. It was such a cool experience. I truly believe Jace was a major factor in us having such a great time. We will definitely be back at some point to try the food and have a few cocktails at their bar.

I made the trek out here just to taste all of their whiskeys and was not disappointed. Their little distillery makes everything in bond. My favorite was the honey, surprisingly, and they make it on site with their own beehives. They also have a cool wooden gift box I didn’t get a photo of. Definitely will return to get a bottle of that one.

Such a disappointing experience. We know the influx from Bonaroo crowds were unexpected, but it doesn’t excuse the service or quality. Drinks were substituted with ginger ale rather than prosecco without transparency, food that was actually available was mediocre and portions were small for the price. We cleared our plates because we were starving after waiting for 3 hours with a normal sized dining room and reasonable crowd. Additionally, the water in the bathrooms was not working? Yuck! This place could have had a banner weekend with Father’s Day and Bonaroo, but they totally missed the moment. Sadly, this was our last trip to Short Mtn after many years of visiting.

If you are in the Woodbury area, this is a must stop! We had out-of-town friends in for a quick visit and decided to take them for lunch at The Shaken Glass. (Neither of them are into moonshine or whiskey, so we didn't do the tour.) Lunch did not disappoint!! We each split a club sandwich and order of fried pickles. Service was quick, and the food was tasty. Rachel was friendly, attentive, and just very nice! We never had to ask for refills on our drinks. The setting of this distillery is gorgeous. We've done the tour before and it's really, really cool! A must-see along the Tennessee Whiskey trail!

Great experience all around! I would recommend this distillery as one to be visited frequently. Excellent drink, delicious food, and an easy-going atmosphere made for an auspicious occasion! Take home their wares, as they are of the best quality!

Absolutely scrumptious meals, super friendly staff, one of the cutest restaurants I've been in.. breathtaking views. Classic feel, it's what your looking for!! Reasonably priced, and the answer for your event space needs!!! A++ you'll be so happy u went!
