Dinner did not disappoint. Had ribeye Oscar and salmon. Spinach dip as appetizer was out of this world. Highly recommend.

Waitress super friendly, but not a great waitress, food was good but not $120 good, if you're claimin best steak in town, you should have at least a great steak, ours was average as was everything else. If the price had been half what it was it wouldn't of been bad. With a premium price tag it should have premium flavor

We celebrated a retirement tonight at the Behive in Abilene, Texas, and while it was a bit of a wait for a table that would accommodate our large group, it was worth the wait.
The filet minion was tender as butter, the salmon was perfect, the rolls were artisan quality, the red velvet surpassed all expectation.
Service was outstanding as well.

My wife and I recently visited The Beehive after hearing mixed reviews, and unfortunately, my experience leaned more toward the disappointing side.

From the start, the service left much to be desired. Our server seemed distracted and took quite a while to take our order, despite the bar top being only half full. Drink refills were inconsistent, and we had to ask twice for basic things like utensils and napkins. While the staff wasn’t outright rude, there was a noticeable lack of attentiveness and warmth that made the meal feel rushed and impersonal.

The food itself didn’t do much to redeem the evening. Our ribeye came out dry and over-seasoned, and the accompanying sides were cold and overcooked. For the price point, we expected something fresher and more thoughtfully prepared.

On the positive side, the ambiance was pleasant enough — dim lighting and comfortable seating made for a nice setting. But unfortunately, the atmosphere couldn’t make up for the underwhelming meal and lackluster service.

Top restaurant in Abilene. Tablecloths restaurant with generous servings that are consistently outstanding! Get there early and have everyone in your party present to get seated. Worth the wait! Easily spend way more than $20 per plate but well worth it. And they have some items that are budget friendly. I got the special, house salad, unsweet tea and got away for $20 plus tip.

The atmosphere here is lovely, but the food selection is limited. I tried the Beef Oscar, which, in my opinion, needs improvement. The sauce didn't quite complement the dish. The crab meat tasted overly fishy, similar to canned crab. The filet was cooked to perfection, though. Unfortunately, the baked potato was dry, and the asparagus side tasted burnt. Overall, I'd recommend exploring other dishes if you're a local. The service, however, was top-notch.

Not sure how this restaurant is still in business unless people in Abilene have just been going here forever and have a soft spot for it. We are from out of town and wanted to try for lunch. The menu has no descriptions of anything. We asked if they had any appetizers and the waitress said if we told her something she would ask the kitchen. What? Like a guessing game? Nothing listed on the menu for lunchtime. I asked what was the “Cavender Salad” because again, no description. This seemed to really annoy the waitress. We just got up and left at that point. On the way out told the hostess we decided to leave. She looked up w a blank look and just said ok. Really weird place. Gave the food two stars because I didn’t taste it so have no idea. Service was zero stars. Super odd atmosphere w bright overhead lights and partitions dividing the rooms. Very loud. Would not go back.

Nice spot for a date night or family dinner. Not a large menu short and sweet with special off the menu items. Service was friendly, our server kept close and served with a smile. My wife's steak was a little less than medium as she had liked, it was more red than pink but it still tasted great, especially with the delicious crab ontop. I had the special which was Mahi Mahi with capers over rice and black beans with slices of Avocado, at first bite I was listening for the ocean because it really brought me back to the Islands. The soup of the day was a steak n rice soup IKR, but it was tasty filled with flavor. Perfect spot for a quiet dinner, tonnes of flavor. If you're going for dinner you can park across the street in the bank's parking lot but dont do it for lunch.
