First off I absolutely LOVE Chuys! I would go to the one in San Antonio and would look forward to it but now I am over the moon that my city has a Chuys of their own! ❤️🙌. I have been to Chuys a lot since they opened. Dining in I have always received Great service every single time! All of the staff has been amazing! The only issue I've had (that was fixed very quickly the last time it happened) was curbside pick up. Small issue of just getting my order wrong on one side but the manager made it right and was willing to speak with me and listen! Which I knew they would. It is so awesome to have a restaurant who is willing to grow and always looking to improve! Marcella was wonderful and I know Chuys is in great hands with her! She had told me to ask for her the next time I was in but I forgot but she came to me to meet me and make sure everything was great which it was! She was so sweet listening to the past issue. It was my friends first time trying Chuys and she loved it! Thank you for going above and beyond for your customers! The food is always delicious! My favorite is the Deluxe chicken topped with Deluxe tomatia sauce and double rice. The green Chile rice is my favorite! My next favorite is the appetizer plate I love the many options it comes with! My fiance loves the Deluxe chuychanga! Even the chicken strips are amazing! I love that the root beer comes in a bottle The Best! The shrimp tacos are Amazing!!!! The chicken torilla soup was so delicious! The Guacamole is good but could use some garlic salt and then itll be amazing! The frozen strawberry/lime swirl is delicious and my favorite! The prices are awesome never change!

Dine in: recommend the sour cream chicken enchilada with tomatillo sauce. The salsa is also refreshing and limey!
The beans and rice were not flavorful. The beef and cheese enchiladas did not stand out. The frames inside are fun.

To go: the fajita salad was a good portion but the fajita steak was not well seasoned and the texture was chewy. Pickup also ran 10 min late.

The appetizer platter came out semi warm, did not come with salsa, and was missing the queso. Pickup also ran 15 min late. I did not drive back for it since the restaurant did not answer the phone 2x.

Long wait

We arrived on a Tuesday evening at 7:10pm, waited 45 plus minutes for a table, we where seated at a 6 top close to the women's rest room around 8am. Our party was 4 adults and 2 teens. We ordered simple dishes, we had to wait almost an hour for our food, while others seated around had their food served long before our party. Our food arrived shortly before 9pm (after receiving some other party's food that was sent back to the kitchen) Our server never apologized. Two in our party ordered the Tortilla Soup, it came to them luke warm. We all ate too many chips BECAUSE we where hungry due to the ridiculous wait time. To say the least we will NOT come back again to this location. Unacceptable service for mediocre food... a major disappointment.

We couldn't figure out why this place was packed all the time -- then we tried it. Absolutely awesome and it's our new go-to place for TexMex. I'd highly recommend it.

Note that if you're going in the evening, expect to wait a bit for a table.

Quality and quantity of food is pretty good. Service has been fairly slow, but they just opened recently so place has been very busy every time I've been there.

Chuy’s in Abilene never disappoints! The food is always fresh, flavorful, and comes out fast. The chips and creamy jalapeño dip alone are worth the visit. The staff is friendly, attentive, and keeps the vibe fun and welcoming every time we’re there. Whether it’s tacos, enchiladas, or a margarita on the patio, Chuy’s is a go-to spot for great Tex-Mex and a good time. Highly recommend!
