This unique place offers an incredible variety of intriguing food items, making it an exciting place to explore. Unfortunately, they were out of lunch “stuff,” even with just our salad order. The chicken was so tough in the salads that we ended up giving it to our puppies. We were in the middle of
their lunch hour period.
Suggestion: the host should take a chill pill and be less overbearing. It’s still worth the visit but not for food.

Fabulous!! Salads are perfection (and moderately priced); products available are unique and delectable! Great place for a quick healthy bite and shopping for gifts or to take home and enjoy yourself!

First time to visit. It was very good atmosphere. Salad was large and wonderful. The olive oil and vinegars are very good. Staff is very friendly and attentive. Not a lot of tables but nice to eat there if you can. Especially since they keep the music loud enough to hear but low enough to carry a conversation. So much better than a lot of other restaurants.
Lovely store. Unique products and friendly staff
I absolutely love the green chili olive oil. I cook with it every day the Cayenne olive oil was amazing. The lady that worked the front desk helped put me on the waiting list for my green chili oil told me about keeping my bag to save money. Next time I come in. She was so kind and amazing that I highly recommend Cordell‘s for all your spices and olive oil needs. They will take care of you and give great recommendations.
Love this place. Jason, Joy and Amber are always helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. Fantastic selection of products, absolutely top notch quality. Do you pay a little more than inferior grocery store items? Yes. Will we continue to do so? Yes. They do get very busy sometimes but that’s just the way it goes when you have a great business. Just have to be patient, promise it’s worth it.

We came here because Google Maps pulled this up when we searched for Italian restaurants. It is not an Italian restaurant, but we're glad we came anyway. Ended up having a wonderful lunch and buying a bunch of vinegar, oil, olives, and cheese. Definitely on our places to visit list when we come to town.

Usually, I do not do reviews; however, for the last couple of times we have been here the chicken has been completely dried out. I asked today about it and was told that the owner who cooks does it on purpose. As a person who went through culinary school and has training, I cannot comprehend purposefully drying out chicken! And then when you look at the salads nearly everyone of them has the same ingredients. A Thai salad should have peanuts not walnuts and I have never seen one that has cheese on it. Usually a Thai salad has a crunch like cabbage with bell peppers and shredded carrots to give it a different texture. A southwestern salad should have roasted corn, bell peppers, cilantro with lime and other flavors and maybe a creamy avocado dressing. To me the food isn’t that great but I do love the fact that the people are friendly until you mention your dislikes then they get snappy but to have a good place to go is the key and for owners to listen to the complaints to make it better is always helpful! I’m sure not everyone is a fan of dried out chicken or the same salads…be a little more creative! We love the oils that this place carries but the food is another subject especially for the price!
Dietary restrictions: We do enjoy the option of gluten free and no pork in the salads.

Food was great
Service is not!
Very neat place. Not only can you get made to order food (during lunch hours), but they also have a coffee and tea bar. While you're waiting for your food, there is plenty to look at and taste. They have unique gift items, a flavored balsamic vinegar, and an olive oil wall. You can try different types of flavored oils and vinegars, and they are available for purchase. I picked up a bottle of the blackberry and ginger vinegar; I can't wait to try it! I ordered the strawberry salad and it was very good!

this store is awesome! the olive oils and vinegars are top quality. Shop local!!!!
Always a very pleasant experience. My favorite shop to go to in town! If you haven't been here you are missing out!
While yes the store is local….. they stock a TON of products you can source in Abilene. For example, the “local” honey? Was from Vermont…. The chocolates? Not from the chocolate manufacturer who currently occupies the historical train station downtown. Was pretty disappointed when they advertise to shop local, but their products aren’t……
Great place and professional service. Food is amazing!
Excellent place to purchase spices and oils.
