Cracker Barrel Old Country Store

I went with my family to have dinner There were 9 of us and we were passing through town, we drove 4 hours so we were so hungry and stopped at Cracker Barrel and the service was horrible, 20 minutes to serve our drinks, 30 minutes for bread and biscuits, and wait 2 hours for be serving our food never arrived to our table! But two other parties tabled over 7 and 9 people showed up after us and got drinks, fresh bread, and food less in than an hour but our table was on the waiting list to be served until we said enough with the waiting we called the manager and she only told us she was busy supervising in the kitchen and if we leaving pay what we get serving our drinks and 2 side plates was mc cheese for the kid's, the waiter and she only said "" we so sorry"" but I was expecting more and so sorry! And told the truth about why our food was behind for so long, we felt unwelcome in this restaurant, I have the recipe where I pay for the drinks and 2 plates of my cheese. So we decided not to stop anymore to Cracker Barrel.
Hope one of the owners takes a look at my review because I'm still upset about this unreal courtesy from a big business of restaurants.

Me and my family went in to get some food after a long day of driving and we were hungry as heck! We had 8-9 people with us. First we had trouble getting a table because the host couldn’t even put tables together???? What kind of place separates big party’s? Like??? Not to mention our server was horrible and inattentive. She first takes 10 MINS just for drinks then forgets plates and biscuits. Once we order our food we waited 2 hours for just for food??? NOT TO EVEN MENTION there was two big tables behind us who got there after us and they got their food first??? LIKE WHAT THE HECK??. We didn’t even got our food because we were tired of a 2 hour wait and we paid 40$ just for drinks and bread. We called the manager over and she didn’t even do anything. She told us to wait more for food AFTER 2 HOURS???. Horrible manager. The server was horrible. We are not coming back to this place again.

The noise level caused by other customers talking loudly was rather annoying.

Well the food is ok. This was my 3rd attempt to order the Southern Fried chicken. I was informed that it would be over 30 minutes to get it. Last 2 times they were out of it. I got the chicken strips instead. They had that gristel still on them, plus they were cold do that means they were already cooked before i ordered it. By far the least impressive chicken strips I have ever had. Will not go back to the Abilene store again. Will get my chicken from Popeyes for now on.

If you have a group of more than 6 don’t expect to sit together…we had a group of 9 family members and were told the wait would be 45 min. The wait was no problem and when our time came all 9 of us were walked back to the dining room and it was not until that time that they told us we had to split to 2 different tables. I understand not being able to accommodate larger groups. What is unacceptable is not being told until you walk back to the dining room after waiting 45 minutes. The food was 7/10. The server we had was 10/10.

Food tasted like it was store bought and just reheated. Service, gal was nice but took forever to serve us. I used to love cracker barrel had great food and good service but this is not true any longer.

We passed through and stopped at the Abilene location Saturday morning for breakfast. It was incredibly busy and we had to wait a bit for our food. But, our server Eleanor and the manager Michelle made our visit a great one!

First of all food was little cold.. the waitress was so inattentive that I had to get up three times to get jelly biscuits and napkins and because I got up and got it myself she comes to the table chastised me for asking for stuff and says if u don't mind don't do that again I'm the one getting into trouble.. I'm like ru serious then she comes off as a smart mouth saying how attentive she is to her tables . Well if your paying attention to your tables then I wouldn't have to get up and ask for things and when we tell you we need something you would have brought it back but didn't.. I was in tears because I was so aggravated about her calling me out in front of my family like that!! Very disappointed and it was disrespectful..I love this place but why treat your customers like that.. of your getting got into by your manager then keep it to yourself and do your job little better..

We went in for sunday lunch and just like almost everywhere else the wait was 45 minutes to and hour. We were able to get sitting within 20 minutes.

Dietary restrictions: They do what they can to accommodate dietary restrictions. I am a gastric sleeve patient and its very hard to find healthy small portion items.

Kid-friendliness: My kids love coming here. They always have question about the atmosphere and the decor.
