I have to admit that I had very little experience with Gelato before Gus's, but I've yet to have another gelato I've like more. Their flavors rotate weekly but they announce them ahead of time. Make sure to keep up with them especially if they have sea salt vanilla or espresso.
There is always a line here and it's because the ice cream is delicious and the place is adorable with old film memorabilia and a unique, original countertop bar.Love that it's family owned and you can read the history. They also have unique seasonal flavors available like lavender ice cream. They'll even give you a Leopold's paper hat upon request - great for selfies. I'd recommend going during an off-time like late morning so you can avoid the wait.
