Showed up to the joint over an hour before close... Upon walking in was immediately struck by the ghostly ambiance and lack of a single patron in the establishment. I walked in slowly looking around to be sure this was a bar, and that it was indeed still in business. A lady stumbled out of the back with the demeanor of Miss Trunchbull. "Yeah??" she asserted questioningly as if she herself was surprised to still be in business. "Just checking to see if you guys are even open?" I responded almost certain I already knew the answer. "Nope. We're not serving," she said before she turned around to walk away, only to turn back after two steps to stare into me the inquiry of, "What the fuck are you still doing here?"I didn't question her. I scoffed at her impolite slack jawed gaze, said, "Alrighty then," and I made my way out. Within business hours. Open sign on. Employees present. And yet not a SINGLE customer to show for it. Geeze, I can't imagine why. Must not need the business after all.

OLDEST BAR in Abilene!! Small dive bar where the bartender and the people are friendly. Drink prices are low priced, but don't expect anything fancy. If they have it, they'll make it. Beer, mixed drinks, shooters, and chips. Some days they'll have a table with free food for paying customers. An "AMI" jukebox is available, and sometimes live entertainment is playing on Friday or Saturday. Never a Cover Charge!
