The two stars are ONLY for the food. They WILL NOT allow you to call ahead an order for dine in if youre pressed for time. They WILL NOT make any exceptions.. EVEN IF THE RESTAURANT IS EMPTY!! They will ASK YOU TO LEAVE even if you were unaware!! The PLACE WAS EMPTY! ! I even saw the staff ask a couple to move in the middle of their lunch to make them eat at a smaller table... Im sure they didn't come back!
When I inquired about this I was basically told it was all about a damn dollar... they don't want to tie up tables so they can make more money. Well, that's how you lose customers!! Then where's the dollar??

This place has delicious and very flavorful food. They can do Thai spicy right! They have a great mix of heat along with flavor. Staff is very friendly and courteous. This place is a must try when in Abilene!!!

Love the Chinese sweet and sour and my husband loves the red curry and sticky rice with banana. Son loves the noodles. She is very friendly and always remembers us. Seating is limited, we are usually taking it home to eat anyway.

The food and thai tea at Krua Thai is absolutely amazing. The sweet little lady that works there at lunch is always kind and attentive, she works very hard and I appreciate her very much. This has quickly become one of my favorite and most frequently visited lunch spots. I typically get mine to go because I run over there on my lunch break and space is very limited for seating.

The shop used to be great, but unfortunately not anymore. We ordered 2 Pad Thai with chicken and veggies. These potions were extremely smaller than they used to be. One with veggies was mostly veggies, not much noodles. The other one with chicken was mostly noodles, some tiny pieces of chicken only. Chicken satay $7.99 was only 5 pinky sized skewers on a plate served with bitter tasted cucumber. We waited more than 30 minutes to get the appetizer and other dishes took extra 30 minutes. So disappointed and never go back.

When I first tried Krua Thai it was very good. Not sure what has happened in the many months that have followed but the food has been consistently worse with each time I’ve had their food. And the flavors are inconsistent. I recently ordered teriyaki chicken. I was hoping the last bad one I had was a fluke. But no. The teriyaki sauce always has the consistency of water. It looked like brown water and didn’t taste much better either. Even the rice was undercooked (that was a first). I have tried other items on the menu and wasn’t fully satisfied with those. On a positive note, the staff are really nice and the spring rolls are good if eaten freshly cooked. I don’t care for their sweet and sour sauce either. It tastes and looks like a sugary syrup similar to a simple syrup for cocktails.
