We went just the other day with Holy Cow still on the front of the building! It wasn't until I was looking at the menu that I realized this wasn't where we thought we were (my brother had eaten here a few weeks prior and asked if I wanted to try out Holy Cow lol). I ordered the jalepeno popper burger and it was great. The service was awesome and accommodating even in this difficult time with the pandemic wreaking havoc on all businesses large and small! After I was almost done ( I believe it was the owner) came around to the tables to see if we had eaten our black eyed peas for the year and if not he would bring us some. I laughed and said no as I thought he was just joking around and after a couple of more tables were asked...out came a dmfreah hot bowl of peas and jalepeno cornbread on the house!! Y'all, support local...rather support home! You can't get that quality from the golden arches, you don't really "get it your way" from the king.You get exactly what you asked for...and then some at Lone Star on top of great personalities and service. Give them time to make the place look nice as it's a little rough around the edges but I think you're gonna agree with me when I say thanks Line Star and I'll see you again real soon!

Found this place on my anniversary with my wife and I'm glad we went! The wait staff was very friendly and the owner Doug was fun to talk with! The food was excellent and affordable. Will gladly come back on our next trip through Abilene.

Foods is good. The first time I had this place it was great and I gave it a 5 star rating on door dash. This time I’m missing half my food and my drink was only half full. Definitely am not satisfied this time around. They need to be more observative when doing take out orders.Edit: I called them and they were sooo sweet! And even made it where my next meal would be on them! Definitely recommend! Perfect hospitality and great food!!!

This was our first time here and we had a great experience. The food was delicious and the server was quick and friendly. I couldn't think of a better experience eating out during Covid. We shared the chicken fried steak, fries and salad. We also ordered the Onion rings appetizer. I have zero complaints. Please support this local business!

Probably won't order to go again. Fries were limp & greasy. Fried pickles were greasy. Didn't get any cold slaw. I can't imagine calling their hush puppies by that name, so little! The fish was really good & was not greasy!
