The person running the register on 7/27/25 clearly did not fully understand English. We asked for the items that came on the #3 Bacon and Cheese chicken sandwich (just to confirm the other items on the sandwich) and this was not even acknowledged. She instead explained what a combo meal was. When asked again, she said one of the sides were fries. Either just intentionally not paying attention or English is not her first language. Another meal she asked specifically if I wanted mashed potatoes as a second side, which I replied yes and then was given rice instead.
Ordered a combo meal that did not come with any sides until I went to the counter and asked again. The sandwich was also requested with no mayo and instead we got it looking like someone had used a gallon of mayo on it.
There was a young man working behind the counter who politely fixed our order. The food quality is good here, but the service is horrible outside of that one younger worker. If you are going to hire someone who doesn't speak English first, make them a cook and not a cashier.

So extremely slow, felt like I was watching them cook and service in 0.02x speed. Did not received acknowledgement when walking in the door, stood unacknowledged for some time before being seen, and forgot a part of my order. Had to ask to get it added. Food was good overall, fries were cold and biscuits hard but good at least.

Came in at 9:30 and it was closed google says it closes at 11 but lights were off, we could see someone inside cleaning but no one was working the drive thru.

I can’t wait until this places closes its doors. They can never get my order right and I’m not even going to try and explain the customer service these people portray… what an absolute embarrassment these people are.

Every time I come here the employees never answer the drive thru, I pass by the drive thru window and they’re either on their phones or talking and playing with their friends in the front. When it’s not busy they are still so slow to get anything done

Would give zero stars if I could. I waited over 30 minutes for the absolute wrong order. I had to turn around to come back and waited another 20 minutes. They didn't give me the spoon for my rice and beans or my biscuit.... Over an hour spent here waiting for a 2 piece spicy leg and wing with red beans and a sweet tea 😒 just disappointing. Children seem to be running the place and unfortunately they are not doing a great job. Would not recommend this location and won't be back. Please have staff double check orders before giving them to the customer.

I ordered delivery from here, I had to wait a lot, they gave the order to the delivery driver with a lot of missing items. I sent the driver back to get the right order and he was waiting for a long time. With that being said, we had to wait so long for our food and we were literally starving. How bad can the service be and how bad can you be at your job?

I don’t like the new crew. Took 3 employees to tend to one person. Meanwhile, I don’t know if my customer that I am delivering to is sitting under the lamp getting hard and burned😏

Food took forever for some folk took them several attempts to get the order right gave me a wrong drink and my chicken tasted warm but old fries were just thrown in the bag and tasted old made me feel sick hopefully someone gets down here and fixes it

It took me 30 minutes to order my food because the lady just did not understand me. Three people around me were upset because their orders were wrong. I had to get a third lady and just to get my order right

I recently stopped by the Popeyes in Abilene and had a pretty decent experience overall. The highlight of my visit was definitely the customer service—starting with the cashier, Malachi, who was friendly, patient, and made the ordering process smooth and pleasant. It’s always nice to be greeted with a smile and helpful attitude.
The restaurant itself was clean, which I really appreciated. Tables were wiped down, and the dining area looked well-kept. That kind of cleanliness goes a long way.
Service was also pretty quick. I didn’t have to wait long for my food, and everything came out hot and fresh.
That said, while everything was solid, nothing really wowed me enough to push it past three stars. The food was okay but not exceptional, and there wasn’t anything that really stood out beyond the basics. Still, for a fast food stop, it gets the job done!
Would I return? Sure—especially if Malachi’s working the register.
