First time to get this wonderful BBQ and be disappointed. The meat was very greasy and the flavor was not like it usually is. It had way more fat than usual. I actually paid for 1/2 lb of fat. Not up to their usual standards.
I should have taken a picture of the plate before I started devouring it due to the flavor. Looking at the brisket, I didn't have high hopes for the flavor. I was dead wrong. No BBQ sauce needed, seriously. I'm not a big BBQ connoisseur, and I'm sure some overly serious I'm high on myself back yard BBQ dude/dudette will say otherwise.Their turkey doesn't disappoint either!!Wow, great place, great food! Not to mention my entire family was not disappointed....
I really enjoyed the food. The exterior makes this the best secret Abilene has. When you find this place you won't forget it. The menu has nothing that is less than great. From the mac & cheese to the brisket it's all good. Oh, and the sweet tea will make you think of mom's sweet tea she made ya when you were growing up. I had the brisket baked potato.
