We drove all the way across Dallas just to eat here. We had had a Cantina Laredo and home until COVID. It was our go to place, especially when family or friends came to town. We were greeted like old friends and offered menu suggestions. We had favorite plates and ordered those. We were not disappointed, the meal was amazing. I wish I was taking Cantina Laredo home with me. Maybe they'll try again. If not we'll have to come back to Dallas, ohwell.

We had a large family gathering on a Thursday night. When we arrived our table was set up as requested and they were ready for us. Every single person was happy with their meal. Drinks and chips were continually refilled and we ended the dinner with the fabulous hot apple pie.

I can't say enough good things about Cantina Laredo. this was our first time here, and it was absolutely stellar. the chips were extremely light and crunchy, and the salsa had a deeply sweet and savory flavor. the basic queso left some to be desired, it tasted of just velveta and tomatoes.but the entree I ordered was the carne asada. I've had so many different orders of carne asada, and this ranks at the top, no questions asked. the meat melts in your mouth, the chimichurri sauce was vibrant and had the perfect piquant flavor to complement the meat. and then the rice was wonderful as well, a beautiful lime rice with hints of cilantro.absolutely god tier.

Honestly the food was great However the service was not. I felt uncomfortable as Yeri the bartender/server was consistently staring me and my friend down like we were unhinged criminals. I come from the service industry and I know from previous tabc training to watch your customers as they consume, however, Yeri was constantly staring me and my friend down like a hawk. It soured the overall experience for us. And quite frankly disappoints me as there are already limited options for vegans who are trying to have a memorable dining experience with others who are non vegans. Yeri, I hope you take this review as constructive criticism and correct any behaviors or habits you might have developed over your years at Cantina Laredo or in the service industry overall. The chips and salsa were great compared to other Latin restaurants in the area. The happy hour options are also very good and I would recommend to any friend/family.
