Higuma Ramen & Izakaya

I visited this restaurant before but couldn’t remember the name at the time. Today, I finally found it again and learned it’s Higuma. Coming back confirmed why it stayed in my memory. The food is comforting, flavorful, and feels very authentic, especially the ramen. The broth is rich, the noodles are well-cooked, and the portions are satisfying.

The atmosphere is casual and welcoming Everything came out quickly and tasted fresh. It’s the kind of place you think about later and want to return to, which is exactly what happened to me.❤️

Overall, Higuma is a great spot for classic Japanese food, especially if you’re craving ramen. ❤️

Food absolutely slaps. My fiancé and I just discovered this place a few months ago and there hasn't been a restaurant we've gone to so frequently like this one. I'm always craving some takoyaki and garlic tonkatsu ramen! They also have Sapporo on tap at a pretty good price. Staff is super friendly, too. My only very minor complaint is that for the first few times we dined in, they had Taylor Swift on loop for their entire time we were there. I think it's calmed down since then lol. :)

Corn kakiage was so delicious! I have the omurice katsu curry whenever I'm here and it's great each time, plus I love the thai tea. Super friendly staff too!

DO NOT COME HERE!!!!! I went today and was about to order. All of sudden there was a BIG AAASS ROACH crawling on my desk!!!!! So disgusting and I left immediately! This place definitely needs to be inspected.

Wasn't thrilled. The katsu was pretty much tasteless, the miso soup was off and had a pasty mouth feel. Some other things were fine, but I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here in the future.

Came in on a Saturday evening. Only 6 tables had people and 3 had not been served. We waited 10 minutes and no one even offered us water. Also they had a string of lights that were flickering and had exposed wires. Totally unsafe. We left and went somewhere with actual service. If you want Asian food in Addison go to Jasmine. Same price, chill vibes, and great service.
