Came on a Saturday morning, food was very bland. Biscuits tasted old, the eggs on the eggs Benedict were not poached they were pretty much hard boiled.

Grits tasted like instant box grits. For the price I was expecting a lot more.

Really cute restaurant with brightly colored walls and decor. I was excited to try The Toasted Yolk Cafe because they offer multiple flavors of Mimosas. I chose strawberry and it was ok. Not bad, not great- just ok. This was the theme of my visit . Nothing really stood out. Waffle wasn’t buttery.

First the inside has no personality. Two the food matches the inside. I ordered a simple waffle which to me tasted like it was made with a boxed pancake/waffle mix.It was bland and served with the most awful watered down syrup I’ve ever eaten.I repeatedly asked for a better syrup and our server said this was all they had. I asked for the manager and complained about the syrup and he brought me the smallest sample size maple syrup bottle I’ve ever seen.
Apparently they make decent eggs from what I heard from folks that accompanied me.
Oh the coffee was lukewarm at best and by the time we complained to our server it was cold and she took it and microwaved each individual cup and brought it back.At that point we knew we’d go no where with our complaints so we just finished whatever we could eat/drink and left .Will never return. Its not worth it at all.

Sitting in a booth, waiting on our food, and wanted to leave a review strictly on the quality of service!!! We were greeted outside with the manager holding the door open for us, we were immediately sat, and our server, Aleny, is the kindest! I came in with a coffee that wasn’t great, and she offered to take it to the back and put their own syrup in it! Usually, places will tell you no outside food or drinks so this was very refreshing! SO thoughtful and so appreciated. Everyone is so nice and the menu is incredible. If you’re in Addison, be sure to check out the Toasted Yolk!! 🤍

Catered in lunch for team and it was delivered on time (actually early), food was very fresh and everyone enjoyed it. The big hit was the Strawberry Fields salad with chicken - it has a blueberry dressing that was surprisingly good. The wrap tray was really good, and they're bigger than expected.

We came on a Sunday around 1pm and were seated almost immediately. I believe both the manager and hostess greeted us as we walked in. The cafe was very cozy! Our server was super sweet and she gave us some recommendations. We got a coffee and then I ordered shrimp and grits and I have to say it’s a pretty hefty portion (and it was delicious)! My bf got the Reuben sandwich and wild rice soup which he also enjoyed. We shared a granola apple French toast which tasted as you would expect! Overall, we enjoyed the brunch!

I’m from Sydney, so we have a certain expectation of what is a decent coffee.
The Toasted Yolk delivered the closest thing I have had to a Sydney coffee since I have arrived in the U.S.
Thank you.

The staff are friendly and the 4 egg omelette was awesome. A very complete breakfast.

Everything was so awesome. I just thought that the music was too loud for the occasion and the type of music would be better if it was just that of softer instrumental music instead of the music they have here. Everything else was awesome though 9/10 I recommend. 9 bc of the msuic
