Vitruvian Park Tavern is an awesome local sports bar with a truly welcoming vibe. Craig, the owner, is incredibly inviting, and Hayden, Brodie, and Elias always make the place feel like home. The burger is legit delicious—and honestly, everything else on the menu hits, too. A great neighborhood hangout in Addison with good people, good food, and a solid atmosphere. Highly recommend!

I had a very disappointing experience at Tavern during my visit last night. The service was unprofessional, and the way the situation was handled by the owner left me extremely uncomfortable. I went in last night expecting to enjoy my time, but instead I was singled out and disrespected for no valid reason. While I was standing near the bar saying hi to a friend and waiting to order another drink, a large dog nearby began barking loudly. I had my small French bulldog with me, who was completely calm and never barked once. Despite the fact that the other dog was the one causing the disturbance, the owner walked straight up to only me and told me that dogs aren’t allowed after 10 PM. I understand policies, and I admit I may not have seen the sign at the entrance but the other dog was still inside, and he made absolutely no effort to speak to that owner. When I asked why I was being approached while the barking dog’s owner was left alone, the owner repeated the policy and then told me to “go stay in my own corner.” Meanwhile, the other guests who happened to be white were allowed to stay comfortably in the center of the restaurant with no issue. The double standard was obvious and humiliating. The way he chose to target me, ignore the actual disturbance, and speak to me with such disrespect made it very clear that I was not being treated equally. His behavior felt discriminatory, and I left feeling upset, uncomfortable, and unwelcome. I’m sharing this so others know what kind of treatment to expect. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend this establishment to anyone.

They go above and beyond with their service. Food has to be perfect or they will remake it.

I went in for the 1st time a couple months ago. The place only had like 5 patrons & I sat at the bar. The bartender was busy talking to couple dudes at bar & she took her sweet time coming over to greet me. 1st reg flag. The service sucked my whole time there! The food (I had a burger) tasted like chewy, thawed frozen & reheated, the drinks were disgusting & the place smelled like old cigarettes, musty & unclean.

I came to the area for a visit, and I was told this is the place to eat a burger! I am sort of a food critic, so I’m thinking it will be just ok no expectations of it being good or close to impressive…. Oh goodness was I wrong epic fail of thought!! The service was impressive, the food was unforgettable, and atmosphere is a magnet for a good Tyme of just hanging out being social. If I can say it in an action to express how good it was…… I’ll be back on today at 2p when they open before my flight on today.

Iffy experience , I have a registered ESA and a dog tried to attack my dog while I was trying to go to the restroom .. be cautious of a german shepherd looking mixed breed with a female with long dark hair

Tucked away in Vitruvian Park development (and next to the park itself) is a great, locally owned bar/tavern. While it caters to the residents around the restaurant, it’s definitely worth a trip from outside the area. Cool, relaxed vibe, with plenty of TVs to catch a game, plus poker nights on Thursday/Friday and brunch on Saturday/Sunday. Owner, bartenders and servers are friendly and engaging. If you’re looking for a casual spot to post up for a game or visit with friends and family, this is the spot!

The price to quality ratio is pretty whack here, but that's not to say it's bad. The food and drinks are fine, just overpriced. Vibes are mostly good. The only thing that sucked was they apparently allow dogs inside (questionable for a restaurant) and there was a dog at the bar that was just barking incessantly. The staff did nothing about it, even though you could see many others in the restaurant throwing looks at the owner.

Jonathan is amazing!! We are from Indiana and are visiting family in Dallas, but the second we walked in I felt like we were at our local bar. He made us feel so welcome. He also makes the most amazing bloody Mary’s, mimosas, and any other cocktail you can think of. He takes pride in his work and does such a great job taking care of any kind of patron that walks through the door. He should own the place or at least be a co-partner! Thank you, Jonathan for making our trip and for just being YOU!
