Tucked away in Vitruvian Park development (and next to the park itself) is a great, locally owned bar/tavern. While it caters to the residents around the restaurant, it’s definitely worth a trip from outside the area. Cool, relaxed vibe, with plenty of TVs to catch a game, plus poker nights on Thursday/Friday and brunch on Saturday/Sunday. Owner, bartenders and servers are friendly and engaging. The price to quality ratio is pretty whack here, but that's not to say it's bad. The food and drinks are fine, just overpriced. Vibes are mostly good. The only thing that sucked was they apparently allow dogs inside (questionable for a restaurant) and there was a dog at the bar that was just barking incessantly. The staff did nothing about it, even though you could see many others in the restaurant throwing looks at the owner.
Jonathan is amazing!! We are from Indiana and are visiting family in Dallas, but the second we walked in I felt like we were at our local bar. He made us feel so welcome. He also makes the most amazing bloody Mary’s, mimosas, and any other cocktail you can think of. He takes pride in his work and does such a great job taking care of any kind of patron that walks through the door. He should own the place or at least be a co-partner!
