Honchos - The House of Churros

Came to visit San Antonio — one of the few good eats that we personally had. Coming back again to wrap up our trip 1000%

WOW! You can not visit SA and not go here for dessert. They are fresh and delicious! They are conveniently open late and super fast service. NOTE: they have seating and its best to stay and enjoy your dessert there. We took ours to-go and the 5 mile drive was almost too much for the desserts. Absolutely amazing!

Delicious we got the frozen churros it’s two churros and ice cream and you get to pick 3 sauces we got almond cream, condensed milk, and hazelnut and we also got 6 mini churros which were huge every thing was 15 dollars and it was so yummy!

These are hands down the best churros I've ever had. I love all the variations that they have and I don't think you can go wrong with anything you get here. I particularly loved the glazed Churro, but it was incredibly messy to eat and I wish they served it with a plate and utensils.

This is such a best place to stop by and get a delicious dessert.

The worst customer service and experience I've ever had for a catering order. Placed the order in person with 2 weeks in advance for a pickup. I was the dessert sponsor for a customer appreciation event.

I requested that I would arrive at 4 for pickup and I arrived at 5 to give them ample time for preparation. Upon arriving they did not have my order ready for 300 mini churros with dips. They needed to be bagged in 3 per bag with dip. No apology or compensation of any kind only that it was a computer error. The churros were greasy and hard. Probably due to making them do fast. I had paid for 3 flavors and I was short in my order.

So if you're placing a catering order, beware that this could happen to you. Will never recommend or purchase from them again.

this was my first ever time trying Honchos Churros and I left disappointed overall. The Ice cream was overall super melted and was made sloppy. The churro itself was good it was just the overall presentation that was lacking presentation skills. One of the workers named Alice was really rude and didn’t respond well at all when I asked her questions about menu items. Will not be returning.

learn how to train your employees and work on customer service. The employee taking orders in the front on 10/28 around 6pm was the most unfriendly employee. Asked what was good on the menu and replied “i don’t know”. When paying I asked for my receipt and was told it was “too late” and wouldn’t print it out for me. Asked her for her name and it was Alice. Love honchos and need the other employees I usually see and love. Will be coming back hopefully to see a manager!

This has been one of my fav spots for years and I have never ever had a bad experience until today. “Alice” was working the front and was extremely unfriendly. She didn’t even greet my sisters and I when we walked in and was rude taking our order and had AirPods in the entire time. I continue to come because the churros are amazing and the staff is friendly, but if this is the new staff I will not be returning.

tons of mosquitoes. workers were just laughing when they kept messing up the order. honcho kid was wrongly made. no napkins or straws and generic milk. 0 stars and glorified more for Caucasians. kids were upset with no stickers.
