Riley was very kind & attentive. Food was delicious, environment was very chill. The 911 burger is massive & full of flavor. The steak was cooked perfectly, tender, the veggies a delight, & the potatoes really brought it home. The whiskey cake with ice cream was to die for. The fries were good, although the first batch was a bit in the soggy side. The pretzels & beer cheese were great.

It was very relaxed considering the hustle & bustle at most food places on a Sunday. Look forward to coming again.

Bekah, Chris, and Tim are some of the best faces of The Winchester! Best food hands down, there’s nothing on the menu I wouldn’t order. I recommend dinner and drinks here to all my friends!

If you're craving next-level pub food with bold flavors, The Winchester is your spot! From the first bite to the last, every dish was an absolute triumph.

Let’s start with the fish and chips—crispy, golden perfection on the outside, tender and flaky on the inside, with a tater sauce so good I wanted to drink it. Then came the fried avocado—something I’d never tried before but now can’t stop thinking about. Creamy, lightly battered, and paired with a **heavenly sauce** that took it to another level.

But the real showstopper? The chorizo Scotch eggs. Hands down, the best I’ve ever had—spicy, savory, with a perfectly runny yolk center. Absolute magic.

The vibe here is relaxed yet vibrant, with great service to match. Whether you're here for a casual lunch, a hearty dinner, or just drinks with friends, The Winchester delivers.

Final Verdict:insanely good food, creative twists on classics, and flavors that keep you coming back. Do not miss this place—I’ll definitely be back! 🍽️🔥

This use to be one of the most fun bars we visited. The British pub atmosphere is gorgeous but obviously I've the years it has fallen completely off.
The food was awful. The fries obviously was cooked in dirty oil. The truffle fries was obviously over salted to mask taste. St. Patrick weekend in the city and had no green beer and no Guinness on tap available nor. Saturday evening and no events. Restrooms was dirty. Over the last few years gave this place chance after chance and has gotten worse

Stopped in for a bit to eat, we were in the area for event. Walked in and it was a little slow but it was early. It took 5ish minutes for the bartender to introduce herself, we ordered and food took 10-15mins. Food wasn’t bad, the music was! I didn’t expect to hear rap with explicits in an English pub. By the time we payed our bill the place was empty mind you it was 5:30pm on a Saturday.Won’t be back.

Had limited 5 item menu for St. Patrick's Day. By 6:45 had already ran out of some items. First told to wait for waitress, then after 15 minutes told we had to order at bar. Took 35 minutes for food. Food quality and portions were decent but service and cleanliness were unacceptable. Will go down the block to the Cottage Pub in the future.

We came to see the Fulham game even though the bar is affiliated with Liverpool and they welcomed us with open arms. The service and food was amazing and our bartender went above and beyond to make sure we had a comfortable and great experience. Will 100% be back for another match day.

Another change in ownership for this place, but hopefully, for the better. They lost a good bartender to the last owner, but the two working did a great job, despite the lack of product and blown kegs.

I look forward to my next visit to see how things have changed and they've gotten into a little groove. The pork chops were delicious, but the vegetable medley had no soul. Hopefully they'll invest in a spice rack to complement those great chops.

One of and probably the best bar food in San Antonio.

Made from scratch food and huge portions!
Hands down recommend starting off with their app “ SCHROOMS, sautéed mushrooms, white wine cream sauce, with toasted crostini’s

Been coming here since it opened. Great English pub vibe. Sadly, no hot tea.
Menu changed. Not enough vegan options for me. Great beers and promotions. Private room with door. Other more open section at front. Sam, the manager is so thoughtful and remembers everyone's names. This is a Liverpool pub. But many football flags showcased. Great for cosy booth date or crowd or family fun. Kids welcome.

Only been here twice so far but god DAMN. Idk who the cook is but they are straight up inhuman. Chorizo scotch eggs were a hit with me and my friends. I’ve also had the cottage pie and was blown away with the flavor. Service also on point and knows when they need to check up on us. Honestly surprised it wasn’t more packed as this place is insanely good if you are looking for bomb ass food.

I wasn't impressed with this place, but will say the food was pretty good. Music was loud and obnoxious, we were seated next to a loud table despite the place being empty. After we were seated and had looked at the menu for a bit, the waiter informed us they only had fish and chips or burgers. The kitchen closed around 10 after we placed our first orders and we were never informed (they close at 2am). I think the worst part was that Glenfiditch scotch was $40/shot for what is usually a $50ish bottle and Dewars 12 year was $28/shot for a $23 bottle!!!!!! Service was also rather rough and our waiter had difficulty splitting our checks. If you're going to run a shitty pub, at least have good prices. 🤦🏻
