The place is a community staple, and I can see why. Great, welcoming atmosphere, operational pharmacy, gift shop, and old fashioned soda fountain. My only qualm is the amount of ice. I feel like they got their training on how to fill a cup of ice from Sonic. To the rim, with about 3 ounces of actual drink because that's all the space left in the cup between the ice. This place is a MUST see stop. Old soda fountain shop that has an acting pharmacy in it. Has a neat atmosphere and plenty of canned/jarred goodies to choose from as well as sweet and specials of the day. Our waitress, Kathy, waited on us going down state and coming back through. She was great. They had an antique store attached but I would DEFINITELY recommend this place if you are ever in Albany. Wish we were closer would visiting frequently.
Very nice, old fashioned luncheonette. They have lunch specials, sandwiches, salads, soups, milkshakes, fountain drinks. Also a cute gift shop with children’s clothing, household gifts and decorations. Lots of Texas made jarred foods- jams, jellies, pickles etc. Good, friendly customer service.
