Some teachers including the asst principal, have little to no follow through. They rarely return calls and setting up a conference time is like pulling teeth.

Racist school, sends teachers into bathrooms to pat down children suspecting them of having phones like they’re carrying weapons or drugs.
It was a white teacher (Ms. Duncan) that sent 2 teachers into the bathroom to pat down my daughter.
A minor cannot consent to this.
It was 2 teachers, one called “Miss Sally.” She was telling another teacher what to do. Teacher unnamed to us because the school protects people that harm children.
The other teacher lifted up the back of my daughters shirt and checked her jean pockets. Nothing was found. No apologies were made. NOBODY called to tell me. I found out from my daughter. And now she has major anxiety about going back.
We’ve spoken to the counselor, asst principal and principal. And we’ve filled a complaint with the office for civil rights w the department of education.
I’ve also reached out to a friend that works with the news in Corpus Christi so families can be aware of how AISD treats children of color.
This occurred on Tuesday. Nothing has been communicated to us like it’s important.
