Clear signs with directions for ordering, service was informative with friendly smile, pizza was fresh, hot and delicious, cool cucumber water and ice cold mug of beer with dead silence from the table along with quick smiles in between bites. “Went to Jalisiense thinking it was going to be another Mexican restaurant that is the same as every other Mexican restaurant. While it looks like the typical Mexican restaurant, but once you get the food its not. Everything was delicious. The beans actually had flavor. I had the Polllo Jalisco and it was fantastic. The menu had a great variety, so much .ore than just tacos, burritos, fajitas, quesadillas of different types. While the chicken, which is a flattened breast filet, was a bit dry, the sauces and flavor more than make up for it. Great food.”

“Stopped mid-afternoon for a quick bite to eat on my way to San Antonio. The menu looks fabulous, but I didn’t want a heavy meal so I could remain alert to continue driving. The friendly waitress mentioned the shrimp tacos on corn tortillas ~ a perfect recommendation.”

“There food is great no doubt but the service could improve, we called our order in at 9:15am I went to pick it up at at 9:40am she tells me it’s going to be 20 minutes more but your order is coming up I paid n she says, “can you park next to the blue car n I be right out” : needless to say I waited another 35 minutes for the order from the time we phone ordered till I got our food it was an hour and 20 minutes I think that’s way to long for what we ordered, O then the same young lady the received me n took my money was walking around the parking lot looking for me I saw her thru the mirror n got out n called her is that for John of course it was, How SAD THERE WAS NO IM SORRY FOR THE DELAY OR THANKYOU NOTHING JUST “HERES YOUR ORDER” maybe I shouldn’t left the $5 tip if I’d known how long n rude they were”

“The Hype needs more Hype ya'll. Me and my daughter just happened to stumble across this little coffe/snack shop while out shopping in Alice. With September in full effect we were craving a little pumpkin 🎃 spice sweet treat and this place DELIVERED!!! 😋 I got a pumpkin spice horchata and she got a toasted marshmallow pumpkin something and they were delicious!! Soo all that to say 10 out of 10 do recommend!!!”

“⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The Alice Oasis

I'm gonna be honest. I don't always stop at Starbucks. The consistency across the chain can be hit-or-miss, and I usually prefer local spots. But when you are driving from San Antonio to the RGV with a crying baby in the backseat, you need a sure thing. This location in Alice wasn't just a pit stop, it was a revelation.

The Coffee Test:
I ordered a Peppermint Mocha, a drink that is often ruined by being a sugar bomb. Here? It was perfect. Not too sweet, with the exact right ratio of espresso, mocha, steamed milk, and whip. It restored my faith in what this drink is supposed to be.

The Environment:
The store was immaculate. The vibe was open and inviting, and they have a wonderful outdoor seating area with great furniture if you need fresh air. Most importantly for a traveler? The bathrooms were spotless.

The Verdict:
We took a 10-minute detour to get here, and it was worth every second to soothe the baby and get a quality caffeine fix. If you are making the trek south, this is the place to recharge.”

“I want to tell you what a jewel you have in Norma. We took my uncle out for his 86th birthday to Chili's which is one of his favorite restaurants. Apparently, Norma has been Uncle Joe's waitress for 30 years. She's an absolutely wonderful waitress and human being. She deserves a raise!!”

“Waited around ten minutes before someone said I will be with you in a minute. Took about six more minutes. Ordered the family deal. Kung Pao Chicken, Orange Chicken, and Pepper Steak as main course. Lo-mein and super greens were the side dishes. Almost everything was hot. Supergreens were cold. We had missing items but they gave us the missing items. Everything else was hot. Been here over twenty times. Ninety percent you will be ignored . They might see you, but few will stop to speak with you. If there is something missing they always make it right. The place is always clean. Restrooms are clean all the time. I'll be back for sure. Just wish I was greeted upon entering. I don't mind waiting I just want the feeling that someone will be with me shortly.”
