I brought a friend with me because I wanted him to try and experience Nigerian food, and I had never tried this place before, but it was a big mistake. I also brought him out because it was his birthday this weekend, and I feel bad that this was the experience he received with my cultural food

The Egusi soup was all right, but it didn’t really have the depth of flavor that I’m used to. I received three pieces of beef in my soup, and out of that three pieces only one of them was tender enough to eat. The other two pieces were so hard that my fork wouldn’t even penetrate it. $22 for subpar Egusi soup with just three pieces of meat with more than half of them being inedible feels like a complete rip off.

My friends meal was even worse. I ordered him jollof rice just to ease him into Nigerian food, and I don’t know what they put in the jollof rice, but it did not taste good at all. The texture was as if they put some type of powder in there, whether it be charcoal or something to enhance the color, but it tasted almost sandy. I can’t quite explain the texture, but that’s the closest that I can describe it to being. The stew that they paired with his jollof rice tasted like tomato that was not well cooked and it was just saturated with oil. He received about four pieces of beef in his food, and all of it was so hard and difficult for him to chew. Not one piece was tender enough for him to penetrate and pull apart with his fork or even his teeth. He ended up not even eating up to half of the food because of how bad it was, and I felt really bad because this was supposed to be a birthday treat for him and it didn’t turn out well at all. He packed the food to go out of respect and this is a guy that’s not picky when it comes to food. I honestly should’ve just taken him to Aso Rock and called it a day. I’m sure this is just a one off experience, but this one off experience has deterred me from wanting to return to this establishment again in the future.

Great food and lighting fast service. I was driving by one day and I saw this restaurant and a few weeks later I decided to stop in. All I can say is “I LOVED my food”. I ordered the Egusi with tender goat meat and Eba 💯…..

First time eating here, and it definitely won't be the last! We ordered the beef goulash, wing bowl, and egusi, and every single dish was absolutely delicious. The food was rich, flavorful, perfectly seasoned, and cooked to perfection. Without a doubt, this is the best African food in Collin County! If you're craving authentic, mouthwatering African cuisine, don't hesitate—place your order now. You won't be disappointed!

We tried Jollof Haus and it was soooo good! From the moment we walked in we felt welcomed, the staff was so nice and patient. I think we met the owner who explained the menu, what a genuine lady. When placing our order the menu was very well explained to us. My friend came wanting to try fufu but is not a fan of fish. We were told to order other dishes and they would let her try the fufu (thankfully we did this). The meals were so flavorful; the chicken was tender, the beef delicious, excellent seasoned rice, very good plantains. Make sure to get the watermelon juice! Can’t wait to come try more dishes here.

I had a great experience here. Everything I tried was flavorful and well-prepared, but the jollof rice was definitely my favorite. It had a perfect balance of seasoning and stood out the most to me.

The rest of the dishes were also very good and clearly made with care. I’d recommend coming with someone so you can order a few different items and share — there are a lot of options worth trying.

Overall, a great spot for authentic Nigerian food.

Food is good!!!! I ordered the Suya bowl, and that beef was smoky and delicious. The jollof was flavored very well. My wife ordered the beef goulash and it was saucy and delish. My absolute favorite was efro-riro and that was legit!!!!

Def coming back to try other items.
