Savoji restaurant in Allen is one of the best place to have Maharashtrian veg, non-veg and sea food. They are popular not only for Savoji Chicken/Mutton, Kolhapuri Chicken/ Mutton, Surmai rava fry, Tandoori chicken and fish but also for Vegetarian dishes like Butter chicken, Baingan Masala
I ordered "cheese balls" and Savoji Lamb, and a naan. The appetizer was frozen jalapeno poppers of very low quality, very unpleasant, they went into the trash. The Savoji lamb was just boiled lamb in broth with oil, lots of oil, no seasonings. The naan was old, stiff, and unpleasantly starchy like when you re-heat leftovers in the microwave. My lunch was $34 not including tip. The staff was incredibly friendly, I am so disappointed that the food was so bad.
