I usually go to the location in Frisco, but I moved a few blocks away from this location. I’ve eaten here twice in the last month. Every time it gets worse!
If you feel like eating uncle Julio‘s, don’t waste your time at this location. Drive the extra 5 miles and go to the location in Frisco. The food, service, an atmosphere is 10 times better!
Now I understand why there is never anyone in this place and they’re moving towards a less than four star rating on Google.

Food was awful. We ordered a small queso Blanco and it did not have any flavor. Just cheese. Bartender was nice and took care of it. She did offer us something else. Which we declined. We received our entree which was the combination fajitas and Crab/Shrimp Relleno. Alright so the beef on fajita the flavor was horrible. It tasted so fowl. Couldn't figure out if it was the seasoning or the beef itself. If its the seasoning my suggestion is to change it. Cause that was disgusting.The chicken was perfect. The Crab/Shrimp Relleno was delicious. We did not want to complain to the manager. We just won't be back. Honestly we were surprised cause the atmosphere is amazing. Our expectations for Uncle Ju was a fail.

I came to Uncle Julios cause I've always had a great experience there. But today at this restaurant it wasn't so good. Came in, order to go and asked for a watermelon agua fresca with my order. The bartender was fixing it and I called her so she won't do it just yet, but either she just ignored me or didn't hear me calling her. The thing is, if you order something to go, the last thing you're going to fix is the drinks or the ice will melt and your drink will get watery. Anyone with 2cents of brains would know that. But her excuse was that she wasnt aware of that. Then domeone else came and fixed another drink which he made it with water and then when I asked, isnt that supposed to be mineral water, he grab a topo chico and put some in the cup. By the time they finish with my drink it was spill all over and leaking from the lid. I was upset, I couldn't belive what was happening. Never coming back to this uncle julios in Allen, Tx.

We had party of 12. Made reservations two weeks in advance, they put us right next to kitchen door and take out register, so noisy could not have normal conversation, food was excellent and waiter did his best but the table location was disappointing

Nothing has changed since my last review. Omar is still awesome. If you visit this location you must sit at the bar so that you can get the Omar experience. He is very personable, very helpful and remembers his customers. People keep coming back..its like Cheers with some of the regulars at the bar.
I would rate this higher but the last two times I've been they have not had enough staff for serving. And when you do get a table it takes a long time for service.
We like to have lunch here. The service is very good and it’s never crowded

Every time we order takeout from uncle julios items are left off. The phone number listed on the internet doesn’t work so you can’t even ask them to take it off your bill. When you pick it up in person you get a dirty look when you double check the order before you leave. This has happened repeatedly over years.

Did not get a chance to rate the food, I was so excited to try this place out! It has been years since I’ve been. I noticed there was an option to make a reservation so I decided to make one for our party of 8, at 4:53 pm I made the reservation for 6:15pm just in case the place was busy.. To make a long story short we checked in and waited the 15 min as stated on the website, then another 15 min since our reservation was not able to be prioritized, because the other reservations were made weeks in advance. Not once did I see a manager or some sort of leadership to help the hosts with the incoming guests. However the young lady (Abigail) in the front was kind enough to try and fulfill our needs and find us a table, being that we had been there for almost 40 min by that point. The only searing she was able to find we the high tables on the other side of the bar. My nephew is 3 months old, my grandma is almost 80, and my uncle is Epileptic, so we had to turn down her table due to our situation. But her efforts did not go unnoticed. The system that is being used at Uncle Julios does not seem to be an effective one. Perhaps a system with more staff, more floor management, and an up to date reservation app would be more efficient. I try to understand and I will not count them out, I can’t wait to try the food sooner or later. Til next time!
