I had a surprise lunch for my mother's 70th birthday at Uncle Julio's in Allen today and the manager and staff were absolutely fantastic. I had reserved an area for about 30 people with the manager Kevin Moore a few weeks ago. He asked for things she liked and flowers and when we arrived to set up he had flowers and a gift waiting. It was so beautiful and sweet of them to do that for my mom. The servers Roman and Adam were so attentive and were able to handle our group's needs and there were no issues. They even let us know when she was walking in. The food was amazing too and everyone was raving about their food. We all had a wonderful experience and I will go back often. They helped create wonderful memories and I am very grateful for all they did for my mom. If you have a special event, I would recommend Uncle Julio's in Allen! They will take care of you like family! Thank you!

My family and I had lunch today, it was excellent. The Staff were very welcoming and helpful, the food quality was excellent and high quality and the service was amazing. Nice place, but for me, the meal was just meh. Their redemption came with dessert, as we had their clever chocolate piñata. Quite the novelty item that is both fun and tasty!

We went pretty late to this restaurant (20 minutes prior to closing time). However, the staff was so friendly and accommodated our order. We had a "made to order Guacamole" and they explained in detail what are the best ingredients to use. We thoroughly enjoyed the food and service.

Love the atmosphere and decor. It's a nice looking restaurant but the food is not the best. I ordered the combo enchiladas, and they weren't very good. I wasn't sure you could mess up enchiladas, but the tortilla was very tough and just wasn't very flavorable. I also ordered queso which was good and so were the salsas. I loved my el jefe margarita and that was amazing. Would probably just come back for apps and drinks only.

I’ve generally enjoyed this place, but my latest visit was a bit disappointing. I ordered their barbacoa fajita, which was overwhelmingly salty. When the waiter inquired about our meal, I shared my feedback, leading to a brief visit from the manager who simply thanked me for the input and moved on. While I appreciated the waiter’s service and tipped accordingly, the overall response felt underwhelming. It was a letdown, particularly because I’ve had great experiences here before. I hope this was just a one-off, but it did make me think twice about coming back.
