Be cautious dining here. When I ordered a burger, the server asked whether I wanted waffle fries or sweet potato fries but never mentioned the price difference. The restaurant also doesn’t provide a printed bill or receipt. At the end, the waitress brought an iPad showing the total with tip suggestions starting at 20%, while standing there waiting for you to choose. We were also given plastic utensils for dinner. Overall, it felt like the restaurant prioritizes maximizing tips and profits rather than providing good service. My overall experience with this place was very bad.

I don’t know why the high stars for this place. My family and I left and got sick afterwards. I could have went to a nice restraunt with my family for $320. We had appetizer of loaded fries ($20)- basically just hamburger meat and cheese, any add ons and it cost several more dollars. The $40 steak frites was almost inedible with all the gristle. Every other meal was at least $20+. $11 for a TINY slice of chocolate cake. Each drink cost more and more money it’s not refillable. My husbad had 5 beers or so and I have no clue how much they were but must have been outrageous. We had various other menu items for my other kids and the bill was $320!!! That’s crazy. The waitress was fine, no issues with her. No kids menu or at least it wasn’t offered to us.

Came to Alpine for the weekend and came across Alcove Social. We ordered the flat iron cheeseburger, I added avocado and bacon to mine. With sweet potato waffle fries. Let me tell you when the burger and fries was perfectly cooked and the taste was ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS. Are waitress was super sweet and made great recommendations for drink and food. To drink we had the Ranch Hand Old Fashioned, Spicy margarita and a Devils margarita, super delicious. Definitely a must recommended place in Alpine.

I was very pleasantly surprised by the food at Alcove. The options were elevated and interesting beyond typical bar food and my Hippita” sandwich was delicious and far exceeded my expectations. I really hope they continue to do well. The patio is great, service was friendly, and the food was really good. This is a great option for Alpine.

I had high expectations for this restaurant based on the reviews and the atmosphere when I walked in. Ordered the trout and to say I was disappointed was an understatement. It was practically already cold when it got to the table. The server didnt come back until we finished our food. That was a problem because we were each given a single plastic fork and no knife. I couldn't eat my asparagus until it was cold. We ordered a side of fries and those never came. Food was way overpriced for the quality. Server was very kind and it was pretty packed so it was understandable that it took awhile. However I left really disappointed and felt like I wasted 30 dollars. Can't recommend.
We were in Alpine for a couple of days and we enjoyed a delicious meal here. Our server was wonderful, the food and atmosphere was great. You’ll be doing yourself a disservice if you done enjoy a meal, drink and the comfortable atmosphere here

I need to say this upfront. This isn't a place for folks on a budget. BUT if you care about taking your friends, family or significant other to a place that not only cares about atmosphere, but genuinely takes value in you as a customer and your experience, I'd be hard pressed to find a better option. Alcolve has a crew that gives that 1950s vibe to anyone who walks in. They smile, call you by name, and you can be assured that you'll be taken care of with the highest regards. If you are looking to impress your guests by taking them here, or merely want to relive the good ol days with quality food/drink and most importantly, service, the good folks at Alcolve will go above and beyond for you.
