Food quality and selection is low at best. The coffee shop is a fake Starbucks with very few options and the espresso machine is typically broken. Charging close to $2000/semester for a meal plan to be served ultra processed food is a complete scam. The number one complaint at Sul Ross is the food or lack there of. I reached out to ARAMARK more than once regarding my concerns and they did nothing. Luckily I was able to file a grievance with the school and they we extremely helpful and understanding in remedying my situation.

When my kid walked in the first thing she saw was a whole ton of students who were crying, my daughter asked why and they said it was because of the mental stress and all of the classes they BOMBED, even after studying for weeks on end. Do NOT recommend, even after getting accepted my daughter was informed of how bad this school was and we never came back.

Sul Ross is a great school with some of the most friendly and down to earth people in the country. As a graduate I could not have found a better place to attend college in the country. I would not have been successful in life without the great people at Sul Ross and the citizens of Alpine. I will be forever grateful of the time and life lessons that I acquired there.
