“Definitely host your event here instead of paying $500 for The Gremlin which is Ghetto and has a scandal going on over a fight that took place with two toxic rocket lady's assaulting a guys girlfriend and also another scandal involving a groomer who hangs out at gremlin.
The gremlin is known as the fight club when it comes to metal another reason to go Walwus.
Moving back to Walwus
First the Music is zoned into 3 different acoustic zones between the Pool-Room main bar and event in the back
Second the Bartenders are respectful and make good drinks.
Third the owner and manager and respectful people and don't hold grudges over minor things and do believe in giving people chances..
The food is also amazing better pizza for $20 than paying $12 or so at Gremlins and getting it burned and crispy.“

“Visiting RGV and came here for my cousin birthday hosted on fathers day. It's a small quaint dive bar, which I prefer anyday over a larger sports bar or nightclub anyday. Even though its a small place, they easily accomodated our large and expanding guest. Service was quick and drinks were cold.“

“Actually, I have been going here for years and then we stopped. I don’t know why it was for whatever reason. But my husband, knowing that it was my favorite restaurant, made a reservation for my birthday. It’s a good thing he did because the place was packed. It was the day before Thanksgiving. We were walked right back to a table for two. It was wonderful. Also, they have the best frozen margarita that I have ever had! Do yourself a favor and make a reservation“

“For those who are not familiar with McAllen Downtown. Thirsty and Suerte (The Bar next to it) are connected which is why you get food there. Thirsty is also sponsored by Jägermeister which is why the jägerbombs are 2 bucks. The patio outside is nice and chill. In all it's a place to get a quick shot and continue bar hopping“
“I went in to one of their rooms and instantly saw a tree roach was crawling on the floor, the air in the rooms also feel humid. I've gotten a room here more than 5 times and each time I felt comfortable in the room, it's not entirely clean but the other people in rooms are usually quiet and the front desk people are quick with what they do and are nice. I do come here often and will continue to do so.“

“The staff is always amazing! Jorge especially is always so attentive and accommodating. Facilities are always so clean and the gaming is phenomenal. Not to mention athletic game days/ fight nights on their screens. This place is perfect for both children and adults to enjoy literally Monday through Sunday (AKA EVERY SINGLE DAY). Would recommend 100%!!!!!“

“excellent service, pool tables are new and they have a long selection of imported beers, something no body has a big projector screen for games and fights and cold beer. also is a friendly place lots of parking space .Features: very large space so distancing is included, but mask wearing is optional, they have outdoor patio and inside tables are 6ft apart.“
