Food was ok. Our waitress disappeared the last 15 minutes we were there and we had to have another one help us to pay because she was no where to be found. Worst part was watching 2 of their servers grab chips out of the bin with their bare hands to bring to the new tables. My husband called the 2nd one out and she just said ... And....right after she took our cash to pay the bill. Never again.

Sour cream enchiladas were ok. Just sour cream on top. #1 combo plate was all pretty good. Chops and salsa are really good and spicy. Good prices.

I eat there often & it’s exactly the same Everytime! Delicious! The ladies that take ur order are great & it’s ready in no time! I love spinach enchiladas w/sour cream! The whole place is awesome! Can’t go wrong eating here or taking to go!

Don Chanos has been in Alvarado a long time and the food and service are still really good. I am sure Football Friday nights are still really busy. Love that we get our own mini pitcher of salsa. Booths and chairs need some updating but the food and service are worth the visit.
