I visited 1820 today for the first time and was genuinely excited to try it. Overall, the atmosphere was welcoming, and most of the staff were incredibly kind and helpful, especially when it came to recommending drinks and food. That positive energy really stood out and made the visit enjoyable.
However, I did want to mention one small part of my experience. I unfortunately didn’t catch her name, but there was a young blonde employee who appeared to be on her phone for much of the time I was there. While the other two employees were consistently moving, working, and helping customers, she just played on her phone.
Aside from that, my experience was very pleasant, and I appreciated how welcoming and hardworking the rest of the staff were. I would still recommend 1820 and look forward to coming back again.

This coffee house is a quiet gem. Don't let the unassuming exterior fool you. Inside is plenty of room with chairs and tables for a non-rushed experience. Fantastic selection of coffees and food items. OK, maybe don't come here: I'd like to keep it to myself :)

Looks like a cool place to come have a coffee if I wasn't married with kids. Me years ago would have stayed and sat down. Today me wants the kolache and the coffee for running errands. Prices are right where they need to be and the staff is friendly.

I just moved to Alvin and this has become my new favorite hang out! Fresh brewed coffees and teas with monthly employee favorite features! The turkey pesto panini is scrumptious but I'm addicted to hot Pomberry tea and a lemon bar....such a heavenly paring :)

The breakfast sandwiches are okay, they premake or buy and re pack. For the small town coffie shop should be made to order. Pastries are decent. The espresso quality is okay, definitely better then the big box coffee shops. I don't think I've ever had an espresso. Machiato made correctly here. It should just be however many shots the person wants and maybe a shots worth of milk foam. No steamed milk. Over all a good little spot with friendly staff and nice décor.

Traveling from Midland, TX on business and my go to choice "Black Rifle" was a pretty good shot out of my way but 1820 was a nice alternative. Also I love supporting local businesses and not big chains owned by people with no soul like Starbucks etc.
Great coffee and a nice relaxing atmosphere.
I highly recommend if you are in the area and looking for that morning fix.
