Person 1 ordered a pimento cheese sammich and potato soup (recommes both), Person 2 ordered jalepeno grilled cheese and potato soup (recommends both), Person 3 (shall remain nameless) ordered very specific, allergen friendly, PBJ and veggie straws (recommends both and make sure you tell them about your allergies and ask about their gluten free bread). If you haven't tried them, we recommend you get in your car now and get there because you are truly missing out on good friendly people and delicious food!! Maybe they were just out a chef or something, but refills on drinks and such also took a while. The adults think the food was worth the wait, but the kids definitely don't want to go back.”

Only complaint is that the umbrellas for the outside seating are gone now. Makes it hard to sit outside when the temperature is high, so we end up sitting in our car.

Parking: Plenty parking spaces.

“EVERYTHING is fantastic here! My parents were married in 1963 in Freeport. They honeymooned in Galveston. They drove through Alvin and stopped at Dairyland on the way. Since they were teenagers they drank Cherry Dr Pepper and they said Dairyland has 1 of the best! We moved to Alvin in 1977. I have been going to Dairyland and eating and hanging out for the last 45 yrs!! I have had everything on the menu and it’s all good! There is not a teenager from Alvin that hasn’t eaten and hung out here since 1960!!”

“Waiting for my truck to be serviced so I needed somewhere to hang out and eat for a bit. Only three options: gas station food truck, Jack in the Box and here. There weren’t pics of inside so I wasn’t sure what I was getting into… and obviously was not pleasantly surprised. But what do you expect for a restaurant inside a gas station?

Still… despite the dine in experience not being wonderful, the food absolutely was… and for a good price. I got 3 tacos - chorizo, machacado & barbacoa - all with egg, cheese and bean. Was all exceptional and each was only $3.

“Went to this place after seeing the chatter about it online.

We ordered the whipped (?) ricotta cheese appetizer, the Oreo shake, the cinnamon shake, the Ashlyn’s Art pizza (with cauliflower crust), and the pepperoni pizza.

The appetizer was delicious. It’s the one in the bowl with the bread lined around the perimeter. The taste was a bit sweet and a bit savory, and the herbs combined to take it to another level of delicious. The bread was toasted with a drizzle of olive oil and crunched nicely when bitten into. I could eat this as a meal by itself next time I go. It was $9 and worth the price, in my opinion.

The shakes are what this place is known for from what I gathered. We were curious so we ordered the Oreo shake and the cinnamon shake. I had sticker shock at seeing the prices ($15 each) but when they arrived I understood why. They are works of art. I shudder to think of the calories inside. As you can see in the pictures, each shake was no less than 10” tall. The Oreo shake was good once we got through all the icing. Probably half of the shake was icing: used as glue to hold the cup in place, and covering the top and sides of the cup to hold Oreo pieces in place. The cinnamon shake was very large. Not only was it a shake, it had a house made cinnamon roll on top. Again the icing was on the bottom as glue, and on the sides and top as glue to hold the cinnamon cereal in place. It was a LOT of icing. The taste was pretty good, and I hate icing. The cinnamon roll was packed with cinnamon and not very sweet, which was a nice balance to the rest of the shake. The shake portion itself had bits of crunchy cinnamon cereal and was good.

The pizzas we ordered were good according to the family. I forgot to take pictures but they did look like the ones in the menu online. I’m not a fan of cauliflower crust but the dining partner was. The pepperoni one was good but dripped with oil when I picked up a slice. I’m not sure I’d order either of these pizzas again, but I would order different ones. These pizzas were $19 and $16 for 12” pizzas, which I thought was expensive for a pizza that size.

Overall with tip our order was close to $100, which is not what I had planned to spend on a family dinner. This is not their fault, I acknowledge that.

It was good and I’d go back within the next year or so.”
