“Been in the area for years and never knew about this gem ?. Was recommended and thats the only reason I took the risk because Houston crawfish doesn’t measure to real L.A. crawfish! I knew it would be pressure cause the owner let me try two before purchase. It was everything. I haven’t had good crawfish in a minute (not even in New Orleans). Seasoned but not overly spicy, good sausage, and the potatoes had a kick to em. I got the Friday special and got full off them twice. Run, don’t walk!”

Most importantly, the smile on my wife's face throughout the night was priceless. Paul served us through the night and this guy is remarkable! He knew everything about everything. Whether it be items on the menu or the history of the restaurant. We took home a bottle of the the "Killen's" brand Malbec wine. My wife said is was one of the best Malbec wines she has ever tasted. Paul, of course, knew the history of the wine and how it was created. The area is a little off for such an incredible place. It doesn't align with, what I will call, the "Killen's standard", which is set pretty high. We will absolutely be going back.Thank you Paul and the Killen's team for making our dinner such a memorable night.”

It was absolutely perfect from the decadent Brioche bun, the rich crispy but light batter, the juicy chicken, perfectly sweet slaw and sauce with JUST the right amount of heat. When they sat it in front of me I didn't think I could eat it all it was so large.... but it was TOO PERFECT to not enjoy the entire thing. I only wish they were in Austin also. If your ANYWHERE within an hour of this place, it's worth the drive. The employees were also delightful, cheerful and appreciative. 50 STARS!!”

“If you haven’t visited Pollo Bravo, you need to stop what you’re doing a run here! The minute you walk into the restaurant you are greeted with a warm welcome. You can pick wherever you’d like to sit, and the waitress will bring you a menu. We usually start with the green plantains and the crispy taquitos. Each time I come (which is quite often), I try something different. Their food is always fresh and made to order. Their prices are fair and the quality of their food is out of this world! They are also family friendly, and have a kid’s menu. I have yet to be disappointed and I know you will feel the same, so the next time you are wanting to try something different bring your entire family!”

The cabbage is fresh and sweet as candy. The yams, my goodness, can anyone do yams like this restaurant. Absolutely not. The cornbread is such a good texture, it is almost like cake. Here’s my review of it: I really wanted to give this location a chance because the drive to the original location in Pearland is so far. Sadly, the last three visits have been disappointing. This time around we asked for their best offering and were told beef ribs. We got two of them. The first bite, with the outer bark was great, but below the surface it quickly became tough and dry. A beef rib cooked to Killin’s standard (& prices) should not be like that. Fortunately, there is another Killen’s in Cypress that seems to be more promising. Service and atmosphere were good, it’s just a quality issue. This location is not living up to the Killen’s reputation and my harsh rating is reflective of that.”

Usually going in there was chatter everywhere, the baristas laughing with customers and customers talking with each other. It was just very quiet and everyone with their heads down in their own worlds. Sausage egg taco was very good and huge. The parfait was really good and they added honey to it for me with no issue. We got the Magnolia and Morning Glory. Neither disappointed. Coffee is just as good as before and I love the change in variety as well. Overall still a really great coffee shop and we will be back when we are in the area.”

The Tortellacci was the absolute winner because the sauce was so flavorful and yummy. The Short Rib Gnocchi had homemade gnocchi, which was nice and fluffy, and the beef was very juicy, rich, and tender. The Chicken Fried Wagyu had really good flavors but wasn't as good as what you might get at a true country style restaurant, in my opinion. My mom liked it, though, so that could be preference. The service was fantastic! Our waitress was so friendly, energetic, helpful, funny, and just made the whole experience a joy for us. Sadly, I am making this review a few weeks later and forgot her name! The atmosphere was nice, a little bit on the dimly lit and romantic side.”

“There are some things here that are outstanding like the sizzling beef and onions plate and the lo mein. The lo mein is probably the best I’ve ever had. It’s not dry and full of flavor. Also the lunch menu for the sushi specials are a great deal.
Love that the food comes out fresh and fast. The service can be attentive but not the most welcoming. The younger guy is pleasantly the best server there. He shows a little more hospitality than the other guys. The other servers don’t look happy nor do they project good energy. It’s as if they don’t like being there. None of them have ever smiled anytime we dine in. Although, they ALL do a great job with providing you with everything you need and never messing up an order, it can still be a disservice when you just don’t feel welcomed.
We always tip accordingly but we tip more if the service feels genuine. Either way it doesn’t stop us from regularly dining in. We really do enjoy Takumi, we just wish that the rest of the staff would bring in some good energy in to this business.”

“This has been one of my favorite restaurants since they've opened and they didn't let me down today!!Visited the restaurant for lunch today and we did the hibachi experience! It seems like they've gotten even better than they were before!I ordered the Shrimp and Salmon, which was cooked to perfection! I wish I had gotten pictures of it but I demolished the food before I thought about it.I LOVE their yum-yum sauce, which I also prefer on both my salad and my meal; but you have to ask for it instead of the regular dressing that they use (which is similar but not as great to me).The service was exceptional today!! He was very attentive and quickly realized when we needed things (like refills and extra napkins, etc.).In my opinion, this is the BEST Hibachi restaurant in the Houston area!! For lunch, you get great portions and good pricing but lunch is only served from Mon-Fri from 11-3, I believe. Dinner prices are more but the portions are also even larger.Also, as an aside, for this who may have visited in the past when they used to have a wet mop water smell that is also gone now!!
Parking: Parking can be competitive directly in front of the restaurant. I traditionally prefer to park in the back of the restaurant and walk over, which allows me to get more steps in too! ?”

“Today was my third attempt at hoping to give this place another chance. Just as the two prior experiences it was horrible and the the absolute worst. It started with seating and continued to go downhill from there. The poor waitress, who by the way had only been on the job a week did her very best to try and save us from this disaster, how much can she do when she was only one of three servers working. The food was subpar at best and the think that a meal with an average price point of nearly $100 we would not have been served food to be eaten on Styrofoam plates and plastic forks. Three of four in our party ordered crab only to not be offered shell crackers or zippers, when we asked for some we were told they were locked in the office and the manager was in a meeting so she could not retrieve them! When we asked for the manager she offered an apology but confirmed this was the owner's policy, my guess is they must cost a million bucks to replace. The food was watery and luke-warm, the drinks had very little spirits and overall food was under seasoned. I beg you to NEVER wast your money or time on this place!”

It was absolutely perfect from the decadent Brioche bun, the rich crispy but light batter, the juicy chicken, perfectly sweet slaw and sauce with JUST the right amount of heat. When they sat it in front of me I didn't think I could eat it all it was so large.... but it was TOO PERFECT to not enjoy the entire thing. I only wish they were in Austin also. If your ANYWHERE within an hour of this place, it's worth the drive. The employees were also delightful, cheerful and appreciative. 50 STARS!!”

“The food was great. We had the chicken and waffles, the Nutella crepes, and the kids pancakes. The waffle had great flavor and texture. The chicken was crispy and well seasoned. The crepe was not overly sweet and it was thin like it’s supposed to be. The kids meal was a good portion and had eggs and a meat of your choice. We will be back!”
