“We frequent this little cafe at least twice a week. I have never had a bad meal here except for the peach cobbler and the carrot cake however, their down home cooking makes up for that. They have daily specials which is great. They get extremely busy during their dinner rush and there’s usually never more than 2 waitresses who are constantly on the move but we’ve never been inconvenienced by that. The staff that work here are friendly and stay on top of everything.”

“Traveling from Midland, TX on business and my go to choice "Black Rifle" was a pretty good shot out of my way but 1820 was a nice alternative. Also I love supporting local businesses and not big chains owned by people with no soul like Starbucks etc. Great coffee and a nice relaxing atmosphere. I highly recommend if you are in the area and looking for that morning fix.”

“Gordon Street has very good food, it’s surprisingly good and cheap. We live in Downtown Houston where everything is super expensive and usually not great. Gordon streets food is always better and always 1/2 the price. When we want to unwind and sit in the peace and quiet this is one of our favorites.”
