“Girl on a business trip googles “pool hall”. Not sure how wise this is in a strange town, she Ubers over to Damifino anyway… excited to see they are running a small weekly tournament. They are pool players, right?? Pool players are good people, usually, from her experience. She is greeted by helpful and friendly bartender Tucker who makes her feel right at home. Josh, at the bar, gives her the lowdown on the tournament and the players. She warms up with Dave (who is good) and Bobby (who is better!) and is impressed with the Diamond tables, the attention to cleanliness and comfort (smoke eaters, shiny balls, clean felt, high chairs for good viewing, chalk dispensers mounted randomly throughout), and even the house cue she’d picked up to shoot with. Though that didn’t last long, because about by the second round, the owner’s son Aubrey offered her choice of one his sticks to shoot with - she picked a Predator with a BK shaft! The hospitality and welcoming atmosphere of the entire crowd (the “small” tournament ended up with about 25 players!) was overwhelming - and capped off by the owner Bubba saving her Uber/cab fee and giving her a ride back to her hotel (yes a$$holes - JUST a ride!! Lol). She will be back on her next business trip (and will be packing her own cue!)…looking forward to it. Thank you all for such a great time. 🥰🥰”

“As a traveler for construction and here in town for about year and half this is the place for me. Great pool tables, good down to earth people, and the staff is spot on. This will be my home away from home during my time here. When we have visitors on the job site, guess where i am going to bring them for an after-work drink "ROADHOUSE" did i need to say hahahahahaha”

“Marcos pizza is the best pizza around. Crust is cooked to perfection & just the right amount of sauce & cheese is used with fresh toppings. It blows domino’s and Pizza Hut out of the water. We traveled from Lake Jackson just to get delicious pizza! 🍕”

“Good food great service. Desserts are a little small you can get four to five bites out it due to size but they are still good. Service very good nice quiet area. Hard to find, I drove around in circles. There is one sign but doesn't tell you where to turn. Lubys located I think it is a medical bldg, I think it was CHN bldg. Overall good place”

“We have been going to The Hitching Post for years. Always a good time and absolutely love all the regulars and wait staff. Great entertainment each week and good atmosphere for fun. The owners are great people and make sure that the customers are treated with respect and courtesy. If you have a bad experience, you probably brought it with you.”

“Was on vacation in the beach area. My Husband and I being dancers wanted to find the nearest dance hall for the evenings. We decided to stop in this place for a dance night. The drinks were more than fantastic. We have traveled a lot of places, and this is one of the best drinks we’ve ever had. I was generally surprised for a little small honky Tonk like place. Music was great. Dj was lots of fun. Everybody was friendly. Played an equal amount of line dances and country swing. We had a really good time.”

“Great food. They have a drive through. I chose to pick up food inside. But the line was moving quickly. They seem very organized. Cashier was polite . Food was sooo good. Mongolian ribeye was tender. The Coconut shrimp were huge. And delicious. Crab ragoon were good. Very nice crunch and amount of filling. Egg rolls and spring rolls were also delicious. My bf got the general tso and said it was slightly spicy, not too much. And he isn't big on spicy. Yet he liked it. Also good amount of food for the price. At other restaurants I get 3 or 4 coconut shrimp. Here , I got 7 or 8. Highly recommend.”
