“I was SO excited to find out about this food truck serving true Mediterranean fare in Lake Jackson and stopped by for lunch on Monday. I had a wonderful visit with the lovely Amal as she prepared my food that I took home to share with my husband. I got the veggie plate (that came with yummy bread) and the gyro plate. The food was delicious; the meat tender and juicy and the rice cooked perfectly, fluffy and flavorful. A nice side of Greek salad added to it all. The falafel on the veggie plate was very good dipped in the accompanying sauces. Hummus and baba ganoush wonderful as well. Thank you, Amal!!”

“A positive thing. Our little group SAS (Senior Adult Singles) had a little holiday/Christmas party and we chose to eat at The Jay Cafe in Lake Jackson. We also elected to have Turkey and dressing (dispite gorging on this since Thanksgiving) Amar accomidated serving this on Saturday night (instead of their usual Sunday offering of the same) and the food was great. Our server was so sweet and accommodating it only added to a great evening.”

“Our volunteers were treated to a perfectly themed lunch generously donated by Wayside Pub in Lake Jackson. They served up delicious shepherd’s pie, and a standout favorite was the Shanghai egg rolls—now available at Wayside! They even dyed the sweet and sour sauce green for a little extra luck. 🍀”

“I love their salad and I ordered the speghetti with meatballs. The meatballs were huge. I thought they overwhelm the speghetti and sauce but that's just me.”

“it is great, 5 stars, i was visiting my sister who lives in Lake Jackson. catfish and fried oysters fantastic. crawfish queso divine. the oysters on the half shell a little dehydrated, but flavor great. I would go every week if I lived close.”

“It's an old food truck but I'm giving it 5 stars for atmosphere because it's a classic food truck taqueria. I ordered the Quesabirria plate and it was top notch. The guy running the truck was by himself but cooked my food like a master chef. He spread a little chipotle sauce on the tortillas which really pumped up the flavor. Some of the best I've had. He gave me a free side of charro beans as well and they were great. Don't miss it if you're in the area, delicious! ?”

We’ve never had a gluten-free cake before, but on this new journey we’re learning to reset our mindset and try better options, and this did not disappoint! Our first impression? Brownie cake! It’s incredibly moist and has the perfect consistency. The best way to describe it is like those warm, fudgy brownies from Cici’s Pizza. Rich, decadent, and it literally melts in your mouth. “I decided to visit because of all the bad reviews to see if they lived up to the name. Well for starters I can see how they usually won't have pretzels ready, It's a small place in a big mall so give them a break. As for the 2 pretzels I ordered... They were good! The lady that attended me was also very nice and forgave a small mistake I made when ordering. I would give it five stars but it was the companies fault that made it a small place in a large demand area. But other than that keep it up!”

“Love the Honey Baked Ham store in Lake Jackson! The manager and staff are always super friendly and helpful. Don’t forget to grab a ham bone from them next time you cook bean soup, they are full of ham and it makes a nice meal.”

“Go here for the DAIRY not for the burger (should have known by the name). We tried this place after moving here, and came in with high expectations especially with the “Award winning burger award” on the wall for something like 10 yrs. I got the jalepeno burger and he got the double burger. It was nothing like I expected.. a bland burger on a non toasty bun. The lettuce was soggy HOWEVER the chocolate shake was phenomenal. Will be back for the drinks, not the food.”

“Opens at 4:30 but will not have full menu available. Tried both a Kolache and the blueberry donuts. The kolache was fine. Good even but nothing special. However, those blueberry donuts are ridiculous fresh out of the oven. My wife quickly nuked some as well a couple hours after purchase and they were still excellent (according to her). I'll try the other donuts but honestly....I'm just looking forward to more blueberry donuts.”

“Met up with a lunch date. We both brought our young granddaughters. Staff helped us acquire highchairs. And took our order at the table. Plus, delivered the food to us. This made it easier and so pleasant. Highly recommend. :)

Update-- ordered online via phone. Picked up through drive thru. Very busy Monday lunch. But my order was perfect. Hot, fresh fries, chicken sandwich and last but least, my light ice lemonade. My condiments were right, too. Not sure how they continue to provide the high level of service... inside or out... but I appreciate it. :)”

“Went today to pick up breakfast. I ordered 1 pound of barbacoa $19.47. When I asked if corn tortillas and salsa were included I was told no by an employee. It would be $27 if I wanted them. So I asked if salsa came with it when it was given to me. I was told yes it was included. When I got home no salsa. Every other Mexican restaurant that sells barbacoa has tortillas and salsa as part of the meal at no additional cost. I guess I'll be going to Downtown Tacos, or ARs Mexican restaurant in Freeport next time.”

“It was okay for what it is. I had someone else pay for it through a drawing I won at work... I doubt I would pay that much just to go myself again. It's not healthy at all. Tasty? Sure if you slather it in sauce it is tastier than plain, but on it's own the chicken isn't anything special in my opinion. The fries are decent. The slaw is slaw. The smallish Texas Toast is okay. The best thing was the sweet tea, but Whataburger has it all beat... It'll do if you're hungry and want a change from the burger places... I still don't understand all the hype. Sauce? Mmmmkay. Meh. One Love... just not great in my opinion.”

While they do not serve food they welcome you to bring some with you. They always have good music and something entertaining on the tv’s it’s never a bad time to stop by.”

“The Birria Tacos and the Wings are pretty damn good. In a city where you can’t really find much real food, and definitely not healthy food, at least you want your splurging to be actually good. And the Wings and Tacos are great. The whole vibe is relaxed, easy going, and bilingual if you speak Spanish and English, so overall a nice relaxed spot with a patio!”

I would have liked a little bit more sauce so next time I'll ask for extra. They do pile on the mushrooms though so huge bonus there. Atmosphere is modern and clean. Be cool if there was a bit more German decor. Overall must visit in town for sure.”
