“Gordon Street has very good food, it’s surprisingly good and cheap. We live in Downtown Houston where everything is super expensive and usually not great. Gordon streets food is always better and always 1/2 the price. When we want to unwind and sit in the peace and quiet this is one of our favorites.“

From the very first call, Rob and his team were incredible to work with. Professional, easygoing, and genuinely invested in making the night memorable. The setup was seamless, the staff was attentive, and the overall vibe of the Taproom made it feel like our own private venue. DJ Gene kept the energy going all night, comedian Adam Bob had everyone laughing nonstop, and Mighty Big Dogs absolutely nailed the food. Turns out it’s an awesome spot if you want to take a group of friends to have a good time in a close setting. Had a great time with my friends yesterday!
I did not order any food, but the beer was cold and the dart boards are nice.

“This is a nicely set up sport bar. Plenty of parking even if you have to go around back. We hung out three nights in a row while having a close by hotel. The staff is not extra friendly and they ignore the people at the bar more than they should even if not overly busy. But the environment is wonderful. Seems to have peaceful people and plenty of hang out spots. Also a dog friendly place so that is a plus.“

“I may be a bit picky with this review but its about fried food. Especially fish of any type. I like the first bite. The wow factor. Hot and the breading golden brown. When it comes down to the breadcrumb coating. I look for that to be with no exceptions wonderfully seasoned. Many combinations work. But if with no matter the mix of spices falls slightly below the WOW factor then the dish is just there because you bought it and stuck. The place has great service. But in fried seafood it's understood to get repeat business it has be super delicious. I'm mean what made fried chicken famous, take a guess.“

“The ice cream with my children's kids meals was a surprising hit, our server was kind and efficient, but I was super disappointed with the chicken quesadilla. There was honestly only a few shreds of cheese per piece and the chicken was spicy (hot), meaning that I couldn't share with my youngest, as we usually do. Hopefully the lack of cheese was a one off thing, but I won't order it again. I will, however, go back to Chuys for another try.“

“The new bar tender with short blonde hair is horrible! She kept taking everyone who was at the bar AFTER me. It took her 45 minutes just to give me my card back. She asked if it was my card, I said yes.. and then she walked off with it for a good while. Even though she already had the receipt printed out. I don't even want to drink the next time I come here!“

“One thing I'll never forget, we walked in less than half hour before closing, and they welcomed us. Didn't turn us away, didn't remind us that they were closing. That makes a huge mark on customer experience and we appreciated that. Went here to get quick bite before movie. Tried crawfish. It was good, sauce was not thick, but did it's job. Thank you again.“

“BBQ is good. Love the jalapeño sausage. Baked potatoes are big and loaded with meat. Hubbies favorite is the sliced beef brisket only. Cheeseburgers are really good served with hand cut fries. Sauce could have more flavor, but overall very good meals.“
