I have been enjoying this spot for quite a few years off and on..good service,clean,convenient and wait staff is great. BUT the $25 rib-eye (which I always enjoyed before) had been marinated in teriyaki..I am a Texan that likes the taste of beef by itself. If that is how you prepare the only rib-eye on the menu guess I'll have to change restaurants for a steak.

We walked in and almost all the tables were dirty. Finally placed our order after 30 minutes. I got my plate first. Then the appetizer came out. After about 30 minutes my wife’s plate came out. The fried “catfish” (swai ?) was mushy. The fried mushrooms were tough and bitter. The grilled shrimp (when they finally arrived) were bland bland. Service was very slow and food wasn’t good.

It's an insult to pretend to deceive the costumer saying they cook fried rice. Alvin Seafood does not cook the true fried rice Their version of fried rice is horrid from the color, texture and taste Please don't lie to costumer thinking they don't know any better just to get their money. The money you got paid is not forfeit like your fried rice it's matter of honor and honesty.Also increase your standards of cleanness in the establishment another questionable item in your business.

The new owner does not know how to run a restaurant. We used to go there all the time. They had no ketchup, no tartar sauce, no popcorn shrimp or okra and it took us 15 minutes just to get tea and the food did not taste good anymore. I hope We don’t get sick tonight. The service is terrible.

I usually don't write reviews but after eating it last night I had to with Alvin Seafood. I've been eating at this place for many years and it has been great everytime. Apparently they have new owners and they have changed many things. First the coleslaw is different and has a weird sour taste like spoiled taste to it, they also changed the batter of the fish and not for the better. Also the shrimp fried rice which has always been my favorite was the biggest disappointment. It looked good to the eye but it had no flavor whatsoever. I mean nothing. No salt, pepper, no seasoning at all. It literally tasted like cardboard where we had to throw it away. I was very disappointed with the food and I hate that if they continue to go this route, they won't last long in business. After last night's experience I will no longer eat from there.

Alvin Seafood is a great place to visit. The food is wonderful. It is always clean and the wait staff is really good. If you don't like seafood, their menu has a wide variety. Their Grilled Chicken Salad is awesome.

Always had great service and really good food. My grandma and I came here weekly up until she passed in May of last year. I have very fond memories of taking her here that I will treasure for a lifetime. Keep up the good work guys. It's very appreciated.

Client was wanting fish sandwich and fries. Driving by and decided to stop. Food was delicious, great taste, and reasonably price. Waitress was outstanding, service with a smile. Will definitely come back again.

I ordered a chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes and gravy, and coleslaw. The coleslaw was So rough cut it was tough. I got the potatoes but no gravy. None at all. Steak was dry. My friend bought the seafood special. Her coleslaw went untouched because too tough. One clam was so tiny she thought it was extra breading until she bit into it. My friend called Alvin seafood to explain,. The girl spoke so rudely to her and talked over her, not allowing her to talk. so the problem could not be addressed. Very poor experience.
