I know this review is critical, but is our experience. Upon arriving at the location, the cook, presumably, was outside smoking. Of course I wondered if would wash his hands before cooking our meal. The staff were very friendly! Even the cook waved at us. The food was reasonably price. We ordered chicken, fish, fries, and green beans. I took a bit of the hush puppy and it was awful. Not sure how to explain the taste. You could not tell the difference between the fish and chicken, as it all tasted the same. The green beans were opened and warmed up, very bland. The water was not good. The best part of the meal was the greasy crispies.
It was obvious the restaurant had been there many decades. There was peeling chip on the walls, the booth seats were taped up, and it looked like the restaurant needed to be gutted and totally renovated. We will choose to go somewhere else to satisfy our fish craving. This was not the Captain D’s I remember.

Not sure what is going on with this location but this my 2nd time ordering the grilled lemon pepper white fish meal and it was not tasty.. the fish was bland and over cooked, the rice had a foul odor and taste that I couldn't eat it at all... sad to say. But the fried okra, green beans and bread was good.. I feel like I wasted my $$.... Captain D's used to be so good back in the days or maybe it's certain locations that aren't tasty.. just not sure if I'll go again.. if the grilled fish taste bland I wonder what the fried tastes like 🤔 The nice lil lady at drive thru was sweet and polite (just can't remember her name).

We came to this location after visiting my Mom and from the time we got into the restaurant, the staff gave us their undivided attention. Everything was spot on. Great food, friendly atmosphere. The place was clean. The two ladies there went the distance to make sure everything went well. 💯% satisfied. We'll definitely come back.

I wish there was a closer one to Pearland. Staff were great. Loved my fish/shrimp combo and the FRIED CLAM STRIPS!
Building could stand an interior update but was clean to my expectations.

It’s exactly the same as it was 30 years ago. Old building. That’s the nostalgia that makes everything else great… it’s 20 minutes from me or I’d probably be there way more…

Ordered the spicy fish sandwich. It was fresh and hot but was strips versus a one piece of fish and it’s not spicy. Other than that it was good.
Everything about this location was horrible , the food was nasty didnt seem cooked kinda soggy . The customer service was poor , and the scenery was horrible felt as if AC wasnt working , old , wood was bad in kitchen behind cashier and it looks just dirty .. i was dissappointed since i havent had it in a while while like years , then i was craving it to just be disappointed

Ask for a 2 piece catfish and I received this!!!! This is one catfish cut in half!!!! And the employee said the catfish comes small!!! This is embarrassing!
