Just came in for a double shot of well tequila. $18 for a splash. They didn't even know what I was saying. Second time I felt like a paid for gold and got copper. If you want to go to Mr sombrero go to the league City location. Alvin location isn't even in the same ballpark. Definitely won't be back. Or at least Alvin's.....

We went to this restaurant today. We've been there before when it first opened, and it's good. But today is a very different case. I told the waiter that our food was lacking in taste, I was bland. Then later a member of mgmt walked by asked if things were ok. I told him we were very dissatisfied with the food, we tried to eat some of it with salt n pepper, but it didn't wasn't enough to help the situation. Needless to say we paid for the food. We weren't given a discount at least, or even an apology would've helped! Not going there again!

I eat at Mr Sombreros #1 on a weekly basis because their Mexican food is the best in League City. I occasionally venture out to Alvin's Mr Sombreros #3 to have lunch with my parents.
Mr Sombreros #3 is just as amazing as #1! Beef Fajitas are tender... and just melt in your mouth. Drinks are always superior to other Mexican restaurants.
The staff is always super friendly. They know me by name at Mr Sombreros #1 and treat me like I am special. The thing is, I see them treating EVERYONE like this. They truly care about their customers.
Five stars to the max.

As a local, you cannot beat the promptness of the meals, the dependable, good service and in my opinion, the best Mexican food in Alvin. Truly a hometown favorite!!! we love to take out of towners here because we know it will be a good experience and won’t leave us feeling embarrassed that we recommended it. fantastic fried avocados(marcus special)! Have not found any better!

Shame on the management and service at this restaurant where you had to ask for 2 glasses of water and you couldn't get it for 25 minutes into your meal.. then when it came to pay we were the first to ask for our check.. we had nauchos and the water we had to fight to get... it took 15 minutes and then he delivered everyone else's checks and still wouldn't give us our check.... horrible horrible service... won't be back!!.. too many other good Mexican restaurants in the area with better food and service to spend your time and money here.
