It's name is now Tejanos Buffet. The all you can eat buffet has very good food with a good selection. There is a salad bar, fruit, soup, desserts , and a good selection of vegetables and meat like ribs, BBQ chicken, fried fish, and fried shrimp. Also, enchiladas and carnitas
Very very very good!”
Been going to Parks since I was born. It was always great to have after church on Sundays. Truly a unique landmark and a true Alvin legend that will be greatly missed. Sadly, 1/21/24 was the last day after nearly 60 years behind those stone walls. Great seeing everyone on the last day - fittingly a Sunday with all the best offerings. Also nice to see others pay tribute in their own way.

Haven't been here since shortly after Don Parks passed away because we moved to Ga.. Back in area for visit so decided to stop. OMG! Awful. Bland, bland food. Butterbeans were in water and crunchy. Cabbage had no seasoning. 2 wings and 2 legs were the chicken choice. Cornbread was sugar sweet. Cant believe the Parks family allows their good name to be on this place. Ate here weekly from 1981-2015. Never again. Now know why I was there Sunday lunch and hardly anyone else there.
Love the food
Sadly this place has gone down hill, food was cold. Everything was extremely salty and very greasy. The service was not attentive, they served everyone else bread and drinks but kept passing us up.

If you are looking for a country style cooking buffet and ambiance, this mom and pop place is it. The food is as fresh as home cooked meals, and so delicious and fulfilling. I highly recommend the chicken and rice soup, mashed potatoes, and rotisserie chicken. They were so full of flavor!

Great place to go enjoy a quiet lazy late lunch! The food is about what you would expect on a buffet...I don't recommend the chicken fried steak. Just a processed fried patty. But the fried chicken and everything else was delicious! The salad bar has a nice variety of fresh foods. The atmosphere feels like you have stepped back into the late 70s, and there are lots of interesting things to see on the walls. And you can't beat the price!

This place has a home town feel to it as soon as you walk in. Employees greeted is a we walked in then other patrons have us a friendly smile. The breakfast buffet was enjoyable for my family. The French Toast was my kids' favorite. I will come back one day to try the lunch buffet.
