Lovely place with amazing views and very friendly staff. Like many people, we were leaving Palo Duro Canyon after a day of hiking and saw their sign. We stopped in and had a great bottle on their back porch. They make their wine on site and really care about their product. Loved it. Highly recommend.
Driving down the road, we stumbled upon a hidden gem - a giant sign for a winery that beckoned us to explore. Following the signs, we discovered a tasting room that seamlessly blends into a working winery, where the owner Monty’s passion for winemaking shines through. Bar Z has made my list of places to hangout with friends and family.
Last week was my first time out and I was super happy at how welcoming the place was with a relaxed atmosphere, good service- plus dogs are welcome!
Regarding the wines, I am not a wine expert, but I really enjoyed both the Pinot and the “Howling Cow”.
(One thing to note is that the pours are quite generous, so be prepared for a “healthy” serving with each glass.)
