I want to share my experience respectfully, but honestly. We ordered a cake for my sweet aunt’s birthday party two full days in advance, and required us to pay over the phone. We arrived at the exact time we were told to pick it up, only to find out the cake wasn’t ready. The staff assured us they would start it immediately and have it delivered in time for the party.

Unfortunately, that never happened.

We never received a call, a message, or any update. And most importantly, no cake was ever delivered, despite it already being paid for. It was extremely disappointing, especially for such a special occasion.

I’m leaving this review in hopes the bakery can improve communication and reliability going forward, but based on this experience, I can only give a 1-star rating.

Suuuper sweet lady (PJ?) very helpful and funny with all the good vibes. This pineapple upside down cake is To Die For. I love this place and will 100% be back!

Went around 5 PM so this likely affected the items, but the cookies (snickerdoodles & peanut butter) were hard and stale. The cinnamon roll tasted... off. The red velvet cupcake was still moist and delicious, though!

Wedding and grooms cake delivered over an hour late and the grooms cake decorations were gon another 2 hours later they brought something cheap to put on it not what was ordered and no boxes left so we can take it home afterwards. We had to leave it to be thrown away. My daughter was disappointed all around. Decorations not what she ordered. Late and bad service.

Recently celebrated our Caprock Class of 1975 50th reunion. Belmar made us the best decorative cookies in town. Everyone at the reunion raved about them. Amarillo is so lucky to have Belmar Bakery! Thank you!

I bought a couple cupcakes a few days ago and they were AMAZING!! I am a 320 lb man, so when it comes to cupcakes, i like to think i'm an expert. They were delicious and I will definately be getting more. The atmosphere is also fantastic...how could it not be, the place always smells great. The cashier was friendly and helpful and helped me narrow it down. Overall, great food and great people.

Another horrible experience there and this time I will not be giving them another chance. The staff is so rude, and unprofessional for no reason. Last time cake was horrible and not the same from prior years. This time I didn't even buy anything because the lady was so rude and obnoxious even though I was polite. Instead of telling her off like I should of I just walked out. I dont understand with all the bad reviews on service why are these people not replaced. Management needs to get it together and either train the staff better or fire them. There is a reason this business is going down hill. Reviews should be taken seriously not just on here but on Facebook too. Everyone can tell this place is not the same and staff is unprofessional.

Belmar, what has happened? I had been enjoying your baked goods since 1984. One of my absolute favorites was your cherry pies. They used to be chock full of cherries, top to bottom and side to side, with a thick, sweet filling that was not runny or gelatin like. My wife picked up a cherry pie, a scone and a date nut coffee cake. You did well on the scone and date nut coffee cake but your once impeccable cherry pie was a serious disappointment. Wow, look at my pictures and videos. I have endured two pieces of the cherry pie. It was a treasure hunt trying to find any cherries. One piece that I had yesterday I found only two (2) cherries. Today I tried again and managed to find five (cherries) in the gelatinous glob of pie filling. Even at room temperature the filling jiggled like cheap gelatin and had a dull red-pink color, (see video), not a deep red of a pie full of cherries. The pie crust was excellent but the filling was awful. Please abandon your current cherry pie filling recipe and go back to your original recipe. The ingredients in order as listed on the box (see photo) were: Filling- cherry, water sugar, corn starch. The ingredients in order of actual content based on my visual and palatal inspection were in order of content of the filling: water, sugar, corn starch, gelatin, just a few cherries and artificial food coloring.

Belmar Bakery please rise to your prior greatness, do not cut corners to save on costs. I will gladly pay a quality price for a quality product. I will return and check out your once famous cherry pie. If you return to your greatness I will change my review to reflect your restoration of your quality.

Ordered cookies a week ago. They were not the same cookies I wanted . They were dry and just not tasty. I did end up taking them back. The unhappy manager did give me refund but only for 15 of the 21 I paid. No smiles, no I'm sorry they weren't to your liking . Just said she'd baked there for 8 years. Well I've been going there for much longer and quality has certainly gone downhill. So for that reason I won't ever go back or recommend. Keep thec6 dollars . It's not worth the effort.

The cake is moist even a couple of days after, I love the date bars, and all of the staff are super friendly!!!!!!

My wife and I are full time RVers and have been travelling this great country for almost 2 years. Our big splurge is visiting local bakeries near where we are staying, Belmar Bakery is in our top 5 of over 100 visited to date. We got hand pies, pastries and cookies. All very delicious and reasonably priced. We may have to go there again before we leave.
