Came here as a kid during a family trip to Colorado.
Decided pecan while I was working in the area.
It wasn't real busy and I sat in the open bar area.
My waitress was quick, cute fastest friendly and efficient.
Got my 16 oz steak in less than 10 minutes from order.
I got the mashed potatoes and some kind of creamed corn side that was good.
Of course my steak was as expected cooked medium perfectly, juicy and tender.
Topped it off with a Lonestar and a giant piece of lemon cake... That I could only eat 1 bite of.. full.
Thankfully it comes in a clam shell... It's huge. Snack for the hotel. Of course this is a tourist destination so be ready for people walking around with their cameras and phones invading privacy...
Just roll with the flow and enjoy the full experience.
I highly recommend this.
Oh yeah I did not see anyone trying the 72 oz free steak....
Delicious! Will definitely stop to eat on way to see my daughter on Oklahoma.
Excellent authentic food and reasonable prices, friendly staff. Good service with free water and free take away special cup with Texan Story.
For a place this busy, you'd think the BBQ would be better. The brisket, ribs, and sausage were EXTREMELY dry, and the sauce that comes with it tastes like someone poured vinegar into it. The sauce was my least favorite part. It was legit gross.
The potato salad was ok. There was nary a vegetable in sight other than an underwhelming coleslaw.
I'm rating this strictly based on the food, but it's otherwise an ok tourist stop.
Grate place!

Very country restaurant, friendly customer service, fast seating, love the fact they have parking for truckers, had to go off on a driver trying to get 2 parking just for him, knowing there's not enough parking for semi trucks. I'm a truck driver myself. Food was delicious, 1st time here, recommend this place... when entering they have some cakes for sale, and other stuff....

We drove 500 miles round trip, which was worthwhile. As seen on YouTube, place was wonderful with a fun atmosphere. Server Alexy was sweetest she can be and loved everything about the restaurant. We'll definitely visit again and again!
The country fried steak was ok but a little over cooked. The mashed potatoes and okra were cold and the gravy was like water. The service was great and fast but I expected more from a stake house. I can do better cooking it myself. My wife's Mac and cheese had no flavor and seemed like it had just been sitting in a warm bole to be serve. Her prim rib had a lot of hard fat in it. Sorry but I expected more . To me it was not worth the price of $58.
So yes, it's a bit of a tourist trap but when you get fantastic food, family style seating, great service, traveling musicians and a bit of a show it is definitely a worthwhile stop. Would not eat here every week but a great stop when passing thru.
Our waitress was not very attentive. She never checked to see if we needed anything. We had to wave her down. Our steaks were cold and the meat was not cooked correctly. We were never asked how the steaks were cooked to our wanting. So disappointed since we had looked forward to his meal for over 7 months. We traveled from Las Vegas on our way to va and was looking so forward to it. Texas Roadhouse has you bet. Also not everyone wants animals around the same place they eat
Waited a few minutes in a moderately long line but were seated after a few minutes. Nicole, our server, greeted us quickly and took drink orders. Had to wait for several minutes as they were quite busy. Wife and I shared the 16 ounce Big Texan Strip with loaded baked potato and house salad. Waited for about 15 minutes before order was delivered but it was very delicious and plentiful. Nicole was very friendly and attentive even though she had several tables to manage.
