My brother (who's visiting from Dallas) and I went to Cafe Marizon and had the best chicken fried steak dinner! I loved that the gravy was on the side so I could dip my steak in it! The food was great, the service was great. If you're looking for a nice place with a taste of home cooked meals you need to go here! Highly recommend!

Hi Folks, on my visit to Amarillo Tx I had a chance to try out Cafe Marizon My sister and I had the chicken fried steak dinner. My apologies for no pictures I rushed into my dinner so quickly that each bite led to another and another. The chicken fried steak was vey tender and batter was crunchy as it should be. So if you want a great chicken fried steak, you have to try it here. Our service was great the hostess was polite and answered all our questions. Our waitress was Heaven kind, and patient with us as we had so many great choices to choose from the menu. Great atmosphere as it should be with all Cafes. Next time I'm in Amarillo I will come back here and try something new since we had a great experience. It's good to have a Cafe where dishes are a hearty staple.

The food was elementary school/nursing home gross. The service was really attentive... to the point that I thought I was in an X-Files episode. Creepy. Not a family restaurant.

I have only eaten take out from here about 3 times I think. The takeout is very good. It is packaged nicely and bagged up well and secure. It was pretty tasty. I would recommend you try it out!!
We had a great dinner here. We both had Chicken fried steak, and had fried green beans for an appetizer. Really good. I was disappointed they were out of coconut pie, but got chess pie instead. It was really good, just not coconut..? Heaven was our waitress, and was wonderful.Wheelchair accessibility: I am in a wheelchair, and had no problems. I can't attest to restroom facilities, as I didn't use them.

We really enjoyed dining here. Service was really good (Heaven). The sampler was a good choice. Of all the options, the ham salad and egg salad were our favorites. But the pot roast was a close second.Dietary restrictions: Easy to eat low carb.

The owner and staff are wonderful people. Always on top of things and making sure the customers are taken care of. The food is more like home cooked meals then most restaurants. My favorite are the pork chops!
