Wife and I went out on 10/27/18 wanted a place we never had been to. I had the steak medallions they were good, wife had the pulled pork sandwich which she did not enjoy at all. Said it had no flavor had to add BBQ sauce. We enjoyed the live music and the cold beer. Had to send a photo of the menu or at least the Desperado Burger. A 3 pound burger with 12 slices of bacon and 2 pounds of fries. Just checking if he wanted to tackle it. Will be back at some time

Awesome place . Had the catfish was spot on. Also we had the pit plate with three meats ,brisket , pulled pork ,sausage all was fantastic Smokey flavor. The side dishes were just as good , beans had a great flavor , coleslaw was great , as the week as the potato salad. For desert a small cup of lemon Girl Scout cookie gelato .. fantastic

I really miss the recipes from the old location on 6th street. They moved and really changed the few things that made this place great. I made a few visits to the new location hoping to find that same flavor profile, but it's just not the same. The prices went up about 30% as well. Not really worth the visit.

Picked this place out of the blue on my around me app, forgot to check Yelp!!! However what a pleasant surprise the place turned out to be.

Atmosphere was better on 6th, new location feels small and cramped.

Food was okay, but way over priced. I ordered a BLT which was $15 ... FIFTEEN for a BLT ... this is a joke right? Nope! That was my main complaint, but everyone in our group was a little disappointed. Doubt we'll come back

Loved the atmosphere and food! Personable service and the BEST steak we've ever eaten! The gelato.....yum!!!!! Mexican Vanilla served with a chocolate dipped strawberry cut to look like a rose for Valentine's Day! Can't wait to go again!

I ordered the elk burger. The first burger that I got, my wife noticed a hair in it. The waitress that was there was very attentive and took it back and had it replaced. She also brought me a bowl of fries (which are pretty good). When my second burger showed up, it was obviously cooked over too high heat as the outside was burned in places and the inside was so raw it was bleeding. Cook needs to pull his head out of his a**! But the waitress was good.

This place is amazing. The street tacos were the best I have ever had. The serve good Texas craft beers. The gelato was very good and the closest thing that I have found to the real thing. The staff was very friendly and hospitable. I will definitely recommend this place to people.

We've been to the new location a couple times now, both on Friday nights. As a quick caveat, it's been a few weeks since we last went, so I plan to visit again soon and update this review. I must admit I wasn't a fan of the food at the old location--it was way too salty, and battered items were often burned--but found it to be *much* improved after the move. Their batter is really delicious, to the point that my wife, who doesn't generally care for fried mushrooms, was competing with me for the last few pieces. The service has been consistently friendly, and they're pretty quick to catch an emptying glass. These two factors on their own are almost enough to make this a weekly haunt for us, and would earn five stars. So why only four? Well, there are a couple areas that make me hesitate about spending my weekend nights there. For one, their live music is way too loud for that space. Don't get me wrong, having live music is great, and they've had some talented performers in. It's just that they have two large speakers in a space smaller than many coffee houses--the musicians could easily get by with no amplification. We came with a party of six on our first visit, and we couldn't hear each other at all. We had to resort to texting just to have table conversation. It also made it harder to order drinks, and I know we spent less money there than we'd intended. The other big impediment to that fifth star is their gelato. We've repeatedly had problems with ice crystals rendering the stuff grainy and weakening the flavor. I know we're showing up toward the end of the evening, so that freezer has been opening and shutting all day, but the lack of reliable gelato makes it a bit harder to justify going to a place named for its gelato. I don't know if there's a recipe tweak that needs to be made or if their freezer needs to be serviced or upgraded, but something needs changing.

This was a horrible experience from the get-go. Service was bordering on nonexistent, the order was completely mishandled, and to top it off the food was inedible. As a table of three only one of us actually had food (a salad which is hard to mess up, granted) while one person didn't even get their food and the other couldn't eat theirs because the rice was so undercooked it was hard. In short we paid $22 for a salad & three teas and waited 45 minutes for that. Beyond disappointed & will not be back.
